Re: Simkits hardware
I thank you for making it so perfectly clear Bliksimple.
Rather than enter into a debate, I will bow to your obvious mental superiority in all things digital.
A2A; how do I get a refund? I had hoped for a better resolution but I give up.

Re: Simkits hardware
Seems you are having the same issues those of us with the Saitek Flight Information Panels (FIP's) are having Muzz. I hope that enough of us will sound off on the forums to help A2A see they are missing a fair amount of users to reconsider this issue. I would suspect that users who have invested $1,...

Re: Question re using SPAD and Saitek panels
Thanks for the quick reply Lewis, I think I understand a little better now.
Question; has A2A made any attempt to contact Saitek about the problem?
Thanks

Re: Question re using SPAD and Saitek panels
The FIP's do work but several give completely different reading than the VC; some others read correctly. A2A claims that is not their problem and don't see fixing it from what I have read. Being as how the VC does work I don't understand why though, as the FIP should be reading the same data. Rick S.

Re: FPS drop in cockpit with DX10
FWIW Killer, DX10 has proven to be better and more stable than DX9 according to what I have heard and experienced. My system saw a nice increase in FPS and the color and clarity improved significantly. Stutters and jaggies are a thing of the past with DX10. I don't think you get much of any benefit ...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Wow, what a dissertation! Okay, we know that the basic FIP programing was a pile of crap. That's where Tom came in. He has brought a whole new look to the FIP's with his long hours developing the graphics and the code to make them shine. SPAD has nothing to do with the FIP's, period; only the contro...

This is one of two links in this forum to the same family of issues between Saitek FIP's and A2A.

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Are you saying that you use completely different calls for instrumentation and controls? So we should treat the C172 Trainer as a whole different FSX. By that I mean that we all have to relearn FSX all over and start trying to understand your coding and throw out everything we have learned or done t...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
I may be naive but I don't understand why A2A does not use the normal code calls. Why make users, many who will never understand how, jump through hoops to use their products. Just thought about it some more. The gauges work but are inaccurate or erratic, why? Is the data somehow going through a fil...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Thanks for the reply Lewis but from my limited knowledge of Tom Tsui's work I believe Tom at http://fsxtimes.wordpress.com/ uses simple XML coding to program his gauges. I certainly hope he sees this thread and chimes in. His gauges are absolutely stunning and match all of the VC gauges in "eve...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Same incorrect FIP gauge problem here. I run 21 Saitek Pro Flight devices including 12 FIP Gauges. I am also having real fits making switches and controllers work, and calibrate, correctly every time with the Trainer. It's like opening a new box of chocolates every time I load the trainer, I never k...
