Re: Comanche Won't Take Off

What engine revs are you getting on take off? Flaps add drag on take off, and should only be used for short field take off at first or second stage at most. Lastly, check your controller settings and make sure you have full range of motion and no conflicts if using multiple controllers. Hope this he...

Re: Another of my hobbies.

That is correct, Lewis. No engine in that model. It's not uncommon, but in 1/32 and 1/24 scales, an engine is modelled more often than not, especially if it's a radial. But that P-40M is one by Hasegawa, and they tend to simplify their kits although within that, they're well done. Alas they haven't ...

Re: Another of my hobbies.

Thanks Lewis. That RAAF P-40M was my second attempt at air brushing. The kit is a bit basic as I like to see the engine in this scale too, but otherwise the kit is well done and builds into a nice model. The P-40E is about 20 years old, as you can tell from the cracking decals. The kit was originall...

Re: Another of my hobbies.

Wow I forgot it was 1/32 and not 1/48. Blimey where do you keep all the models, they ain't the smallest hehe. Smashing job and I'd always vote for RAF Desert bird hehe. The Desert air war is like the forgotten war whilst ironically the AVG is the famous part of an otherwise forgotten war leading to...

Re: Another of my hobbies.

Those belts are stunning Mike!!! Very nice all around. D There's 25 parts in that seat, and only two of them are the actual seat. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1200x900q90/924/nkaicu.jpg FYI, The ruler is in centimetres. One problem with the belts is that the shoulder harness is a little too l...

Re: Another of my hobbies.

1/48 is too small for my aged eyes, I'm afraid. No, this is a 1/32 scale kit, the same as the Thunderbolt. And like the Thunderbolt, this is another of those kits that is great in some ways, and terrible in others. The cockpit is way too shallow and with a flat floor, so I got a resin replacement ki...

Re: F2 2020 and A2A Simulations

Would be so cool an update of how´s going development of planes, to make us easier the waiting of Aerostar600 and future planes. Please take care of us :a2awhite: Agreed an update would be great, but I'd also love to see one of Scott's videos on how his Aerostar is progressing. Is it flying now? Ch...

Re: Cockpit viewpoint little angle change

If I'm interpreting your question correctly, it sounds like you feel you're sitting too high in the cockpit. I have the same feeling, as with the standard settings, I can't see enough left or right so I've permanently "lowered" my seat. If you want to change this, go to the aircraft.CFG file and fin...

Re: FS2020 A2A Wishlist

The Aerostar will be a great starter for MSFS when it's eventually released. Plus all the existing A2A fleet as I can't fly a sim without the Spitfire and Comanche. I hope A2A will do more GA twins as well as release their Texan 2 and the other planes built for the military. Small jets and turbo pro...

Re: FS2020

I've read that you need to load the map as soon as the sim loads, or it may well crash. I still haven't made the move as I'm waiting for it to settle down more. Every updated seems to be 2 steps forward and at least 1 back. Maybe by Christmas?? Just don't ask which year, though.  ...

Re: Recommendations for New Computer

You'll have all the choices you want as far as operating systems go, provided it's Win10. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with it either; however, I control the updates. My system has a 1TB SSD for the operating system only, a 4TB conventional drive for most other stuff including flight sim back...

Try flying inverted for a while. You'll soon mess up the engine
