I have a little question about GTN gauges operation. As far as I know, there is not a power on/off switch on this unit. When I switch on the master BAT in the C182, then the GTN will power on as well. Is this correct? I don't have real world experience with this unit , but I thought it would be bett...

No, the Inner Knob just increases/decreases the selected frequency by 50 KHz by pulling/pushing it.

About the description you made on AVSIM, it's not operated by AeroClub Biella since 12/7/2013, but since autumn 2008 I think (look the dates of the oldest photos on airliners.net).
