Gee I missed the Computer. I think I was shocked when I read that one of Ken's friends was included and felt sad for Ken.

Re: water in the fuel??

i wonder what other little virtual surprises one can get from a virtual A2A plane? I think with A2A aircraft, you should assume that anything that can happen in a real aircraft can happen in your sim. :) For example, while I've never blown a tire, or had to replace tires due to wear, I'm not ...

Re: water in the fuel??

I've had water in the fuel a couple of times. i hope you mean virtually you had water in your fuel?? Everything I wrote applies to the sim. I don't fly in real life. The only time I've had a real life problem with water in the fuel was with a Goldwing motorcycle that had filled the water trap and t...

Re: water in the fuel??

I've had water in the fuel a couple of times. All you need to do is keep checking the fuel until there is no more water. The water is easy enough to see at the bottom of the jar although you might miss it when it's just a tiny bit. I'm not sure what happens if you try to fly with water in the fuel, ...

Re: Cabin is too warm

I'm not sure what GSX might do if you request push back with only one engine running; I don't have it. Typically I'll start all four engines before requesting pushback, and I usually wait for them to get to operating temperature. I've seen advice to use only the inboard engines to taxi, leaving the ...

Sorry about the lost passenger! That is some simulation.
Here's the entire story of that:

Re: Cabin is too warm

Do not start engine 1 or 2 before you finish boarding and the cabin is secure. I left all the engines running on the Stratocruiser once during unboarding to keep the plane cool and lost a passenger. If you start engine 4, it is enough to get the cabin cool. The FE will take care of it. You may get c...

Re: P40 input configurator not responding on yoke buttons

I had the same problem, and I do not use FSUIPC. The button would work on one flight, not work on another. This was not the first time the configurator did not work on an A2A aircraft. I eventually gave up on it and changed the settings to not need the <strikeout>manual pump</strikeout> electric pum...

Re: Connie will not autostart

If I remember right, the inboard tanks must have as much or more fuel than the outboard tanks or the FE gets confused and won't work the fuel valves correctly. In other words, fill the inboard tanks first, then the outboard tanks, and do not land if either outboard tank has more than 900 gallons of ...

Re: FS2020 Bug in FSX

This sounds for all the world like an Out Of Memory error. Please note that you will NOT always get the OOM dialog when this happens. This is a reason why it will happen in FSX and P3D up to v3, but not in P3Dv4 and above which is 64 bit. Even then it's probably better not to switch between any two ...

Re: FSX Gold to FSX 2020 transition

Thanks, Skycat. I'm personally holding out for P3D to include streaming scenery. I believe this is likely to happen as now that MSFS has proven it's feasible; P3D's clients are likely to be demanding it. Imagine downloading an update to P3D and seeing a new option: "Streaming Scenery ON/OFF". Everyt...

Re: FSX Gold to FSX 2020 transition

Since the 377 was never updated beyond FSX and won't work in P3Dv4 (it seemed to work in v2 but I never actually flew it there), it's is highly unlikely that it will ever be made to work in MSFS. Unfortunate, as I did love that plane. User ports of FSX aircraft to MSFS are unsatisfactory. They can b...

I logged in with a different browser and got the P-40 logo. You're probably right about it being a cache issue.
