Re: Welcome back engine management, I've missed you...
Also, climbs seem far more impressive in the Spit than the 'Stang, I missed that racer feel... -Dave The Spit, Zero, and Bf109 will all nearly leap into the air compared to the Mustang. The P-51 needs a lot more runway to get airborne and to land. With minimal fuel and stores it will get up and get...

Re: A2A Spitfire range too high?
Flying over Germany I did acc. time to x4. Might that be the reason? Bingo, yes. Accusim does not support FSX time accel. I tested the fuel consumption yesterday and it was spot on, so time accel is the issue. Scott. Even with the non-Accusim Shockwave/A2A add-ons (that is, any standard FS9/X aircr...

Re: Performance?
hi i was wondering how this plane flys, it looks awsome i was just wondering is it from the p-38 styleish mould or more a-26, or maybe more b-17:P just wondering as it looks cool and looks like it could be thrown around. I am bouncing this but the Uhu is a heavy fighter. No aerobatics for this bird...

Re: Thrust surge on RPM increase
Thanks for confirming my continued lack of trust for the parking brakes of aircraft. I always stand on the toe brakes, and have continued doing so in the Mustang in spite of what the manual tells me, even though I might be the biggest "manual-biter" out there... except for Killratio, obvi...

Re: Thrust surge on RPM increase
I bumped the brake value up to 0.80. This lets me hold the aircraft up to around 2500 RPM, at a low density altitude. That removed one of those little nagging issues which put dents in the suspension of disbelief! Heh heh, yeah, every system is a little different so tweaking controllers and fine-tu...

Re: Thrust surge on RPM increase
As you increase RPM, there appears to be an increase of thrust as the RPM goes up. This is very noticeable during the engine runup, where the brakes are barely able to hold the aircraft at 2300 RPM. In fact, I find myself doing the runup at the highest RPM the brakes can hold, 2200ish, rather than ...

Re: A Tutorial for Mustang Takeoffs
Lots of good aeronautical info. I expected the 'tutorial' to be more of a step-by-step 1,2,3..sort of text...TYVM for sharing..but IMHO a less technical, more practical, rundown would have served a broader A2A P51-D ownership audience. I wonder how many have parked the A2A Mustang because they got ...
