Re: Happy New Year everyone
Ok its 2020 now, who has seen a flying car yet? Happy new year to you and your family! Bladerunner is one of my favorite films, but set in 2019, it has rather fallen short of expectations with regards to its predictions of a dystopian world. Maybe Los Angeles is like that now? I've never ...

Re: Why aren't many people into warbirds?
I love the warbirds, the P:51 being my favourite! Much of that comes down to the fact I live near Bodney, home of 'The Blue Nosed Bastards' circa WW2. Had there been a B:24 (A2A) then that might pipped the 51 as I can see the old airfield of North Pickenham from my bedroom window, but sadly...there ...

Re: Which A2A GA plane would you most like to own?
You sound like someone who might own a de Havilland Beaver. Possibly on tundra tires. And maybe a Stearman. That would be like owning a 4x4 and a motorcycle. No need to be limited to paved roads. Or paved runways. The Vauxhall van? Maybe a DC-3. I just mentioned the three aircraft I fly the most in...

Re: Which A2A GA plane would you most like to own?
For me, it would be the Cub. I trained on Piper Tomahawks (back in the day when spins were an obligatory part of the syllabus) :? Post PPL, I flew (mainly) Piper Warriors. Occasionally Cessna 172s and a Piper Lance. I never felt 'comfortable' in any of them. They were either too clean, too pristine,...

What a fantastic weekend! And there was me worrying about the weather  Anyway, as always, there were some nice photo opportunities. https://i.imgur.com/MCwLd1Y.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xwIraLW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YXfXDzE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4wOcwEn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5G11mT1.jpg ht...

Woodhall Spa 1940s weekend
I just wanted to share a couple of shots (or more) from the 40s weekend, as once again, the town reverberated with the sound of Merlins and our 'English Rose's' were out in all their finery. For the non historians, Woodhall Spa is a small town in Lincolnshire, and Lincolnshire itself, during hostili...

Re: Flying Legends, Duxford
That is one place and event I've always wanted to go to You'd LOVE it! The "place" itself exudes historical significance. You can spend a day looking through the museum exhibits, and still leave not having seen it all. You can turn your back on the buildings that span the various eras, an...

Guilty
On further inspection it looks like I ordered the "missing" aircraft via my wife's email, then transferred the receipts to MY email account for safe keeping
Its a good thing ole Lewis is on the ball isn't it

Re: Order record incomplete
I'm pretty sure I've followed the procedure correctly. New account created, and same e-mail provided as used for all the orders. My Cherokee and spitfire have been added okay, but I will triple check the emails against the other orders later.

Re: Order record incomplete
Hi Lewis. I have some missing kites too  Order Number: 78987 (Piper Cub) Order Number: 78470 (Stratocruiser) Order Number: 71185 (P:51) Order Number: 69153 (B:17) Order Number: 66167 (P:47) and Order Number: 65945 for the P:47 Accusim addon. Apologies if I misread the thread and have jumped the...

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
Give me something vintage, and I don't mean cheddar!
B:25 (fell in love with that bird whilst watching Catch-22)
Tiger Moth (In anticipation of OrbX 'True Earth' Titles)
Stearman (I like the sound)
I'm not sure if I could get THAT excited about another GA single, but we'll see

Re: UK Totally Paralysed!
You are right! In August, we'll all be moaning about the heat, how the roads are melting and how its impossible to sleep at night, but at least we can then look forwards to the rain, or snow, until we've actually got it

Re: UK Totally Paralysed!
I'm gauging the height of the snow here in Norfolk by how much 'cat' I can see as it gingerly walks down the path. Its currently at 3.5 inches. Yesterday I cleared my 4x4 with a broom, but this morning there was a lot of ice underneath that snow, so it was part broom, part scraper. My 31 inch BF Goo...

Re: Duxford: gold or silver?
07:30 isn't too early! Much after that and your prime photo positions will be long gone! You think the paparazzi can get a trot on when they've spotted a celeb with protruding nipples? They wouldn't have a hope against a Duxford spotter with a fetish for a Merlin! Why they need to be THAT close with...
