Excellent. Will give Ctrl-E a go. Maybe, I'm flooding it and just don't realize it. It started up instantly after running a bit, then being shut off. So, it appears cold vs warm may be my issue.
In any event, I have a solution..
Thanks..

C172 Hard Start
It has been a while.. like several years since I've flown the A2A 172 so I've likely forgotten a few things. However, I was pretty sure that I knew how to start the engine, but even following the checklist I have a hard time getting the engine started. the first attempts result in really rough engin...

Re: Refuses to budge
As regards the issue with the 'stuck' 172, please can you try deleting the contents of the following folder: Documents\A2A\FSX\Cessna172 This will 'reset' your aircraft to its original state, so if the *.dat files which record the state of the aircraft have become corrupted, this may resolve the is...

Re: Refuses to budge
Thank you Nick, I guess I need to re-read the documentation. I wasn't aware of the fuel behavior. Sooner than expected I'm back to add to the narrative. In the aircraft again this morning. I ended cold & dark yesterday, so found it in that condition today. Used the dialog to set the fuel and pas...

Re: Refuses to budge
Thanks everyone for your input. I use a 'FSX startup for complex aircraft' saved flight by Flght1 which uses the default Cessna 172 for most of my aircraft, included the C172. It's a cold & dark startup, with everything off. I also 'attempt' to run the 172 with damage OFF, so that shouldn't be a...

Refuses to budge
FSX SP2, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Starting Cold & Dark, Damage OFF. 100% Fuel, Parking brake off. Several years ago I uninstalled the C172 Trainer due to frustrations with getting it to work correctly. A couple of days ago I gave it another go and reinstalled it. As part of the install I ran the A2...

Accu-Feel and FeelThere ERJ
Big fan of Accu-Feel. Recently I purchased the FeelThere Regional Jet (ERJ) aircraft. When I go into the Accu-Feel control panel, both global and aircraft settings toggle buttons are disabled. I can click on them and they go green, but if I go into the aircraft during a later session, Accu-Feel is d...

Anomaly with Saitek ALT Switch and
I followed instructions in another topic for setting up the Saitek BAT/ALT switches. Both work with C172, but with one anomaly; Saitek BAT switch turns C172 BAT on/off normally. Saitek ALT switch turns C172 ALT off normally, but turns on both C172 BAT/ALT switch. I've tried a couple of key combinati...

Re: Saitek Switch Panel BAT and ALT switches
Followed instructions. BAT-ALT switches work with C172, with one anomaly; BAT switch turns C172 BAT on/off normally. ALT switch turns C172 ALT off normally, but turns on both C172 BAT/ALT switch. I've tried a couple of key combinations and used FS Developer's list to find keys not assigned by FSX. N...

Re: Saitek Switch Panel BAT and ALT switches
You should first use the A2A C172 Input Configuration tool that came with the C172 to set the key combinations that will be used for the BAT/ALT switches, then reference those in SPAD. The configuration tool is in FSX/A2A/Tools directory. Instructions are at the start of this forum.

Sound volume since upgrade to Wni7 64-bit
I recently upgraded from XP Pro to Win 7 64-bit. The upgrade necessitated abandoning my SB PCI 16 sound card for the on-board Realtek HDA sound chip due to lack of support for the SB card. Immediately I noticed a change in sound volume during the first flight after the installation. After testing, w...
