Re: Question about the audio panel
I have found that I can (usually) still transmit to ATC using the menu options (1, 2, 3 etc.) when the ATC window is on the 'wrong' tab (i.e. using COM2 but ATC window is on COM1), I have tried that yesterday and it didn't work as you describe. aircraft parked at EDBF audio panel was set to com2 an...

Flaps broke on 1st April - is this some kind of joke?
No, probably just bad flying  I guess I may have gone over the flap limits on a very blustery approach to LESU in the Pyrenees this evening. Luckily, they both got stuck in the same position. After landing and retracting flaps, I taxied in to park and noticed my flaps were still down. Looke...

Re: The tablet including simulator information is unacceptable
I agree and have given the same feedback in other threads in the past. Given the amount of rework needed, it likely won't be changed, but I hope the layout will be different in future aircraft. To me, it would make more sense if the Flight Info page was laid out like this: - The top of the tablet pa...

Re: How do I change the oil?
I recall in one of the launch videos that if you simply top up the oil, it will mix the old & new together, so it'll go from very dark to a lighter shade. Neat feature, and knowing that makes it easier to understand that, as in real life, to completely change the oil you have to empty it first, ...

Re: World Tour Resumed in Style!
It took about 257 hours so far, flown on and off over the course of the last 8 years I started a world tour in FSX with the Comanche many years ago. I ran out of steam as the scenery was so dull and the enjoyment factor fell away. That began 9 years ago and lasted 4 years, getting slower with time....

Re: Question about the audio panel
Hello Frank, The behaviour you describe is normal for MSFS in my experience, and I think it's carried over from FSX. I have found that I can (usually) still transmit to ATC using the menu options (1, 2, 3 etc.) when the ATC window is on the 'wrong' tab (i.e. using COM2 but ATC window is on COM1), bu...

Re: Huge amount of water in my fuel this morning
I've found, for example, a missing aileron nut, a damaged flap linkage, and a quirky elevator trim tab on various A2A airplanes. Each one, presumably, happened on the immediately preceding flight, so it's a good idea to do a full walkaround before you take it up again. I suppose some elements can h...

Re: Huge amount of water in my fuel this morning
On that topic, I was wondering how much a full walkaround is really needed, if you make several flights in quick succession. Of course, if you leave the sim running between flights, you won't likely have a 'walkaround' type of issue on your second flight, such as a rag in the engine intake. But if y...

Re: Eng & Hobbs Hours Transfer to Other Liveries
I've wondered about this, as I often fly with Air Hauler 2 and that lets you 'repaint' your aircraft (switch livery). If I did that, to update my 'used' US-registered N7791P registration to a custom livery, I would want to transfer the hours. Although I haven't tried it, it could (might?) be as simp...

Re: ATC assigns FL250
In case you haven't already found it, you can set your flight plan's altitude by clicking the "Navlog" button in the top-right of the World Map in MSFS. It's far from obvious, sadly... Might be easiest to plan in another program like Little Navmap and export the plan to MSFS and then load ...

Re: SU14 and instrument lights
What hardware are you using? With the Honeycomb Bravo, for instance, the nav light switch is permanently transmitting an 'off' or 'on' state. When set to 'on' the nav lights will be on, but the knob cannot be rotated to any other position, such as to turn up the instrument lights. It snaps back to t...

Re: I love touring the world... you ruined every other plane for me... 😏
In the recent Navigraph survey , two things jumped out at me: 1) The most important feature in a simulator was voted to be aircraft depth and complexity by some margin. Second was realism and authenticity of aircraft. 2) The Comanche was by far the best-voted GA add-on of all. I appreciate that a su...

Re: When you think you're a great pilot...
With a keyboard it's all too easy to accidentally double-press a key without realising and toggle down and back up the gear. Haven't done that for many years though, since I've been using TrackIR for about 20 years now (scary thought) and toggle the gear with the mouse and see the switch position. A...

Re: Brake caliper sounds could use some love
I agree. When maintaining light braking, the squeaks seem to loops or restart quite often in a slightly jarring way. I know my Saitek pedals don't have the best potentiometers so can be a bit 'spiky' which may relate to the reason as the braking force is frequently increasing/decreasing, but definit...

Re: Found a sound bug
Possible additional minor sound bug that I noticed recently: Parked on the ground on a windy and gusty day. The two cabin air vents were about half open (by vents, I mean the push/pull knobs on the lower right of the instrument panel). When the wind gusts enough, I'd being to hear the 'hiss' sound o...
