Re: Sunday 18th September. Battle Of Britain Day
I am sad that not a single Me 109E was represented. After all, without it, there would have been no BoB! 😁 Seriously, whenever I look at, or read descriptions of, a flight of warbirds, there never seems a desire to include the Me. Why not? Also, there is practically no new(!) version of any Me 109, ...

Re: Who is using a force feedback yoke?
BTW, coming back to the title subject: How should a FFB yoke/stick even work? In reality, I believe, it is influenced by the air over the surfaces that makes the ailerons (e.g.) more heavy to move. How is that supposed to work in a sim? It would mean that the software model of the particular aircraf...

Re: Who is using a force feedback yoke?
MaxZ, the calibration issue comes from the fact that the Honeycomb devices do not offer calibration software for their devices but point the user to the respective slight sim software (e.g. Prepar3D); in P3D, if you want to calibrate ailerons/elevators or the TQ levers, P3D in the „Controls“ setting...

Re: Who is using a force feedback yoke?
MaxZ, one of the reasons why I switched to VKB is that ir has as addon a curved shaft. That way, I can mount it closer to my chair, pull it really to my stomach😛 I just love the Crosswind pedals, especially since I mounted the damper; that made it feel really realistic… For the Honeycomb sets, I wou...

Re: Bonanza or Cherokee 180?
Yes! Like from LOWS to LOWI at treetop height; or along the English coast, below cliftop height, „sneaking up“ to Manston until the last moment, then do a fighter landing: quick and elegant (not always successful ).

Re: Who is using a force feedback yoke?
For what it‘s worth, here is my hardware: Honeycomb Yoke and TQ, VKB joystick, Crosswind rudder pedals. I am VERY satisfied with my pedals, they feel just right. The joystick is (IMHO) better than the Warthog but only by a small margin (I had hoped for more difference when I bought it); I used the W...

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick, I can report: Installed Comanche 250, install o.k. Loaded Comanche with settings without motion blur: o.k.; switched on Motion Blur: no problem at any view. Switched OFF Motion Blur, loaded Spitfire: all o.k. all views; switched ON Motion Blur: immediate CTD without error message. That seems t...

Re: Bonanza or Cherokee 180?
I am of two minds about the Comanche and the Bonanza. Both are a challenge to fly, i.e. one has to handle them the way a real pilot in a real aircraft would. I have the feeling that the Bonanza V35 has a longer glide than the Comanche. I tried landing on several of my small airfields in Germany (Aer...

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Hi Nick! (how‘s the ship?) It seems, from the content of the P3D forum you pointed me to, that it has to do with the motion blur setting in general BUT it seems not to affect all aircraft, as I found, not even all A2A aircraft. I will install your Comanche and test it with and without MB. In any cas...

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Additional info:
I tested the settings,
a. Custom with which the Spit did work;
b. changed texture resolution from 1024 x 1024 to 4096 X 4096: Spit o.k.
c. changed: „Motion Blur“ ON: CTD !
Does that help?

Nick,
I found the event manager; this is what it had to say about the error: I hope it helps; I could not find any useful info in it…

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick, it becomes curioser and curioser: I could de-and re-install (after restart Windows) the Spit. With „default“ settings profile, I could load the Spit, start engine,… As soon as I changed to another profile, P3D crashed. The profile has graphics settings for my 49“ Monitor (5400 X 1440) that wor...

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick,
if I understand you aright, you want me to:
Install the Spit again,
see if it makes the sim CTD,
locate the Reliability Monitor and the entries for the time of the installation/trial run,
copy those and post them in the forum.
Correct?
Thanks again!

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick, if I understand you right, I will have to try installing the Spitfire anew; if it does produce a CTD again, lcate the Reliability Monitor, find the date and time with the accompanying error messages, copy them and send them to you. Correct? Volker (I remember a memorable Channel crossing where...

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick, I envy you: I was an amateur sailor for more than 30 years in the Baltic, beginning in 1975! In 1976, we (our crew) were at the US BiCentennial in New York. My last cruise went along the coast of Germany and Poland from Kiel to Gdansk. We are still friends… Lewis, I do not use any separate ant...
