Thanks for these comments. I have collated these together with comments from other forums and emailed them to his family. I'm sure that they will appreciate them.

Bruce Saunders has passed away
Bruce Saunders (BruceE) who many of you have had contact with via the forums has sadly passed away. He caught the COVID-19 virus and was admitted to hospital on the 24th of April and after fighting against the virus had to be placed on a ventilator. He eventually succumbed to the damage to his lungs...

I just don't know what to say after reading that all the way through. Still, I did laugh so that's a good thing!

Glad that it worked for you. I know the relief that you are feeling as I too felt the joy when mine started working again!

Re: Suggestion for sound immersion...
Hey guys! I was flying with a friend in his c185 last week and it hit me... when we turn on avionics and wear our headset.. there was a persistent light electronic whine that we could hear when no one was on talking on the intercom or the radios... think this could be implemented when we put our he...

Switching to 'Direct Input' fixed my problems for my set up.
See under Options-Other-Input Method - the default was Raw Input, changed it to DirectInput and everything worked again. I do also have FSUIPC5 so that may be a factor if it doesn't work for you.
Good luck

Re: Passing of Ian Warren
Thanks for all your thoughts guys. I passed the link to this forum on to his brothers, they have been quite surprised about the number of people on various forums who remember Ian and will miss him. He was one of my mates and the first weeks have been difficult thinking to myself that I'll just give...

Passing of Ian Warren
http://www.scaber.org/FSXShots/Ian%20250.jpg http://www.scaber.org/FSXShots/51.jpg I know that quite a few of the folks here have had interactions with Ian over the years. Apparently he was one of the first to get the 377 Stratocruiser when it came out and he was quite chuffed to get a phone call f...

Scaber,
Cheers, you nailed it! Thanks a lot! I'll blame the cat walking on the keyboard.
No worries. It took me about a week to figure it out when I did it myself sometime last year!

It's unrelated to your anti virus or the installation of the T6.

Re: The apology to the neighbour
Brilliant. I've had to turn autocorrect on my phone off, as it seems to think it knows what I should be saying better than I do. Unfortunately it's vocabulary is more restricted than mine so in the main it's wrong more often than I'm wrong. Such a good idea but too limited by lack of vocabulary...

Re: Rudder trim tab confusion
The early Mustangs had an issue when maneuvering hard to develop high yaw inertia and side slip forces. This could over g the horizontal stabilizer. They actually had a few tail failures resulting in pilot loss. North American decided to retrofit a dorsal coming off the front of the vertical stabil...

Re: Rudder trim tab confusion
Thanks guys, you got me started on an interesting search. I called into the local commercial pilot's training institute where a kind trainee pilot explained it all to me along with diagrams. Dudley, that info about the Mustang is most fascinating, I'm guessing that probably has something to do with ...

Rudder trim tab confusion
This has been confusing me for some time as I've noticed that some aircraft in FSX seem to move the rudder trim tabs in opposite directions compared with other aircraft so I'm wondering what the collective wisdom of you folk can come up with :D I'm using the shortcut keys to initiate the trim moveme...
