Re: Found it on Facebook - 2 planes

Oh my imagine the next 2 planes being a Lancaster and a Halifax, it'd be so bad for business but I'd love it. Good job we have a team to stop us all from making crazy decisions   I can only imagine what those decisions would be  I cannot wait to see what the next aircraft is. hop...

Procedure for refuelling partial loads

Out of interest, what is the procedure for refuelling partial loads on the Comanche? I understand the safety issues and procedures concerning general aviation fuel tanks e.g. fuel quantity gauge accuracy, using one tank as opposed to both in the Comanche, adding in a safety margin etc. Thus, how do ...

Re: Magnetos failure?

My guess is carburettor icing on the ground.
For unknown reasons one magneto may drop more than 150rpm, whilst the other is in range.

Re: Ten hours in, thoughts of a (simulator) fighter jock

Thank you for the advice Scott. Implemented and much appreciated.

I'm beginning to understand the love for these general aviation planes.

Ten hours in, thoughts of a (simulator) fighter jock

Firstly, the A2A Comanche is a truly exhilarating experience, great job A2A :D Luckily, I’ve not had any scrapes, but I did vastly underestimate the potential for carburettor icing  Losing power with no obvious reason. That is why we run through checklists I guess. I did and thankfully it cle...

Re: 1st flight in MSFS Comanche?

Church Fenton to Duxford for VFR practice, ironically both the current and previous airports for the flying legends airshow.
Then to Le Touquet airport to practice IFR, ILS, low altitude airways via the radios, GPS and general navigation.

Lewis is banned for aiding and abetting Scott into convincing me to purchase the Comanche, the only GA aircraft I have in my hangar.

Re: Thoughts on this checklist?

Great work FlyingsCool. This is just the checklist I am after, in addition the A2A's one.

The A2A Comanche is a 1959 model, correct? It's older than my Dad.

Re: weak climb rate (solved: gear wasn't rectracted)

Hahaha This is exactly what happened to me. Whenever I take on a new aircraft I go through a process to iron out unexpected events that occur when you are unfamiliar. I fly very light on an airfield surrounded by fields (solid landing zones). So I do a pre-flight, runup and take-off and bring up the...

Re: Now that Comanche goes Gold...

I really hope we get a twin as the next release I suppose it will be Aerostar 600 I purchased the Comanche today. It is my first general aviation aircraft from A2A; I don't know what came over me (it must be a sign of aging, mellowing) I'm looking forward to learning how to operate it and how...

Re: WANTING A NEW PC SYSTEM SET UP JUST FOR FLIGHT SIM

This may or may not be helpful. I am getting a computer built in the UK for delivery in the next four weeks with specifications: Ryzen 7 7800X3D 64GB DDR5 5600MHz RTX 4070 2TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2, PCIe NVMe (7000MB/R, 5000MB/W) Once thing that MSFS does appear to like is the large cache that the AMD...

Incredible and historic.

Unless I am mistaken, is this not the only flying Constellation derivative as the other two are Super Constellations?

Re: Introducing The A2A Comanche: Built with Accu-Sim (coming soon)

Price tag is indeed rediculously high for airplanes. For microlights which are better than GA airplanes it is not so bad. I sincerely hope the situation changes one day, the high barriers to entry have affected the relationship between general aviation and the public. My other concern is the qualit...
