I'd love to see a De Havilland Comet. It's probably unlikely but it's the first jet airliner, and is rather unique looking too!

Anatomy of the Spitfire
I found this photo essay while looking for Spitfire cockpit photos, it is a Mk V and there are differences there but it's still very similar to the Mk I/II. I found it fascinating and thought i'd share it on here. I didn't realise how much of a plumbers nightmare the old girl was, pipes everywhere. ...

Re: Spitfire for P3D V4
It's great that they're working on it at least! I'm holding off on P3D V4 untill she's done though. My FSX installation is a real mess and i cant bring myself to reinstall everything all over again.

Spitfire for P3D V4
I am considering getting P3D V4 in the near future, FSX is showing its age and creaking under the weight of the various addons i have installed. I was wondering if the A2A Spitfire will be made available for use with that platform in the near future?

Re: What is this?
It seems the astrodome was responsible for at least one casualty in the lifespan of the Constellation. The following was taken from an entry on Wikipedia. March 10, 1947: TWA Constellation "Star of Hollywood" experienced sudden decompression during a transatlantic flight from New York City...

Re: How to ventilate the cockpit??
this is NOT the sort of aircraft you can operate by `hit and hope`. I disagree, that is precisely how i fly. Granted I've been simming for a decade, and have a few hours on gliders and an old Cessna 152 (poor old girl was like a washing machine with wings). My point is if itrex wants to fly by gues...

Re: Question on high altitude airport operations
I have absolutely no problems with breaking things on any of my A2A aircraft. For me it's part of the fun just waiting to see what will fail and to see if i can manage it until i can get on the ground. It's educational because it gets you thinking "ok, X or Y just failed, why did it happen?&quo...

Re: Question on high altitude airport operations
I really don't see the problem in using the high blower for high altitude airfields, the only real danger i can see is that it will be possible to over-boost the engines (exceed the maximum manifold pressure), if you are not careful.

Re: How to restart engine after Prop-Feathering
I've not tried this yet, but as far as I know you should be able to unfeather the prop turn on the fuel pump, mixture to auto rich, turn on the mags an if you're in flight she'll start as the passing air will turn the prop. Probably not "by the book" but it's a quick and dirty way of getti...

Re: Air conditioning
Hi guys, I am sitting in the sun in Western Australia and I can't cool down the cabin. My Air Condition, cooler and ground blower switches are ON and #4 engine has been idling at 1200RPM for 20min already... Cabin temp=OaT= 28C :( Any idea? I've just run a test on this, it seems the air conditionin...

Re: AutoPilot questions
Guys I am not complaining! I'm just asking how every captain is handling his navigation. Like I said, I like VATSIM because this gives me a really good flying experience with live ATC. I can fly VOR or NDB's. On VATSIM it is also nice if you can fly modern like Navigation. The thing is that I am no...

Re: AutoPilot questions
Agreed. Having to manually fly the VOR for long flights is just idiotic. This is a game, some leeway must be given for real life getting in the way. There is an option for you to do this already with the "Shift-3" panel and selecting the Default FS Autopilot. If you don't like it, fine, b...

Re: Window Defroster?
Hey......my first flight, I had my laptop out downloading the manual so I could try to find the defroster too. (smile) Can't believe it was right in front of me and I missed it. The good part..........I now know where EVERY switch in the cockpit is.......all from personal OJT (On Job Training). :D ...

Re: Electronic trim
Yeah the boosters are easy to find, you have two levers to the left of the throttle which are for the aileron and rudder boosters if I remember correctly and you have a push/pull lever on the side of the center pedestal for the elevator booster. But I don't think these a related to what the manual ...
