Hi,
Just got the Comanche and enjoying it very much!
A very minor issue: is there a way to disable acceleration on the trim? It moves nice and predictably, then gets faster, and actually screws up the ability to trim. It causes over-shoot, then I need to trim it back the other way.

Remove GPS?
Hi,
Is there an option to remove the GPS completely, and just have standard radios?

GTN650
Hi,
I know this has been asked before, but is the GTN650 compatible with this aircraft? Flight1 told me that the GTN650 is compatible anywhere the RXP GPS is supported, and wondered if either A2A or anyone with this GPS could confirm?
Many thanks.
Best regards,
Robin.

Re: To Portland or Bust – Transcon Misadventures
Hi, And a good old fashioned ADF (or DF), separate from the near-useless RMI? Good luck getting a bearing within 5 degrees! You wouldn't get that accuracy with an ADF anyway. ;) RMI is actually the easiest of all the nav instruments to use. Regarding no DME - you know the distances between waypoints...

Re: ADF Issues
ADF can't be tuned as per real life - you must be on the frequency or it doesn't work.

Re: Mouse Wheel - Switch Behaviour
Hi,
I checked, and it is the navigation light switch that is reversed compared to the others. Sorry.

Robin.

+1
I haven't tested to see if it still has the 1 Hz update rate that the 172 exhibits. If so, it wants fixing as well. VOR is OK.
Best regards,
Robin.

Re: excessive left rudder
Was that for me?
I didn't understand the left rudder comment (I don't apply left-of-center rudder except during steep turns and crosswind landings).
Best regards,
Robin.

Re: excessive left rudder
Hi,
Just did another flight, and here are my observations:
* Pulls to the left at takeoff, requiring right rudder
* Ball is kicked out to the right without correction
Best regards,
Robin.

1100 sm - really?
Seriously?
EDIT: I can't attach a screenshot.
I'm at 800 ft AMSL on a standard day, leaned for 4 GPH at 1700 RPM and 94 MPH...

Re: excessive left rudder
Rudder trim seems odd to me; centers the ball but roll seems unaffected. If I use rudder to correct, then it behaves as expected.

Re: Request for Engine Mods on Maintenance Hangar
DRAG. As they found when they ran the "lightweight fighter program"; if you can't increase the thrust to go faster, make the rest of it smaller (reduced drag) and lighter (increased power-to-weight ratio). So the F-16 was born. 8) If the airframe isn't "fast", forget it. All you ...
