Re: Landing Tail Wheel First Yikes!

When trying to land I sometimes over flare I guess and I feel the aircraft touchdown with the tail wheel touching the ground first by about half a second. How bad is this in the real aircraft? Does it destroy the tail wheel? What are some tips to avoid this? It seems like the "proper" way to land i...

Re: Pitch angle with gear and flaps

The nose movement is instant and when you grab the flaps, you can rock the nose up and down using the flaps as if there is a direct connect between your arm and the nose position. This is one of my favorite characteristics of the Comanche. Manual flaps with this instant reaction. I'd love to try th...

Re: Will the Aerostar 600 be available for FSX?

There is just 'something' in that generation of jets. Too bad I've only seen them in museums. -Esa IMO The Century Series jets were the most beautiful combat jets to ever fly. At least the coolest looking. Still had some that romance of flight in their designs. While we were stationed at Patrick AF...

Re: Will the Aerostar 600 be available for FSX?

FSX and P3Dv4/5 can exist on the same computer. So can FSX and the new MSFS. You're really only limited by hard drive space and even that is upgradable. The only "problem" I have had with multiple sims on the same computer has been with controllers. They can sometimes get screwed up as to how they ...

Re: Evaluate Landings

Do you sir, or anyone know of a good video that explains how / what a good landing is in this bird? Strangely I'm having no issues once on the ground, no ground loop etc. I just can't tell if I'm hitting the ground to hard. If feel like a much rougher landing compared to the 182, which im used to. ...

Re: Evaluate Landings

How do you folks evaluate your landings? I use the "replay" function in FSX but it's very hard to gauge descent rate just by looking. The shift +z option show current altitude but not descent rate. I am trying to see what my descent rate is at touchdown in the T-6. That aircraft just feels like it ...

Re: Can't Decide Between Military or Civilian

Title says it all. Part of the issue is other than electronics and and avionics, I don't really understand the difference between them. Is one faster? More maneuverable? Side Note: If the flight dynamics are the same, has or would A2A consider a discount for buying both? The civilian version was do...

Re: Will the Aerostar 600 be available for FSX?

I know....but the reason I’m not using P3D is not the price of P3D, it’s the price of the PC I need to run it.. How are your specs? While there are probably some "absolute minimums" that are higher for P3D, for instance the graphics memory in case of v5, I've always had better performance out of th...

Re: How Realistic is FS2020?

So after 4 pages of posts, what's the decision? How realistic IS MFS? :) same question... how it comparable with accu-feel for example, how overspeed is destructive for ac, how good modeling critical aoa, modeling or doesn't negative aoa spine(inverted) how modeling stall at static overstabl...

Birthday today

Well gang, I've made it to the ripe old age of 83 as of today. Hope all of you are well and enjoying your A2A aircraft. Looks like the world of simulation is getting better every day and the future looks bright. Some of the graphics I've seen being developed are nothing short of amazing and it looks...

Are you an alpha tester?
It's a bit like with Shroedinger's cat: Only when the box is opened (aka MSFS is officially reseased) you will find out... :D
So true.

None of it is real. I'm not real. I am the existential extrusion into this universe, of the imagination of another existential being in another theoretically existential universe. Maybe.
