Re: Hobbs time T-6

Just flew the last 3 of a 38 leg South Africa to UK tour, with nearly 8000nm and 69.9 hours on the Hobbs.
The little T6 is going in for a well earned service, and maybe even a new paint scheme.
What a great plane.

Re: Oil Slobber photo shoot.

Wow, crazac, wow! Thanks very much. I've worked as a commercial 3D artist for many years and I'm always looking for wonderful reference like this. The cracks in the plastic, staining, wear and tear, oil streaks and spatter. Great stuff. And to have the images include the T6, one of my fave A2A plane...

Re: Hobbs time T-6

35.9 hours so far on a trip up Africa from Cape Town to Goodwood (a Fly UK club tour). Currently sitting at Renk in the Sudan with 100 degree's of heat. Hoping to fly the next leg to Khartoum later today. Wondering whether I made the right choice when I last changed the oil! lol Loving the T6. Didn'...

A lesson for us all! lol

Very glad Han is okay.

Re: what will come next from A2A?

Maybe something a little more complex. A submarine Cessna.....   Oh boy, imagine if A2A did a US sub sim, wouldn't that be bliss. Cruising out from Hawaii on your way to the Yellow Sea, hoping you're managing the engines right and that the torpedoes work right :D Ah well...

Re: Thank You A2A Team!

Doh! I've been waiting for this for what feels like a very long time, and wouldn't you know it, it gets released just as I'm leaving on my bike for two weeks for the Isle of Man TT.

Oh well something to look forward to when I get back.

The Youtube vids look awesome!

Re: COTS question

Haven't flown the Strat with Air Hauler, but I do find having the COTS flight engineer a huge help.
Basically I can concentrate on flying until I want to do some panel work down at the back.
Haven't tried the Guppy in COTS yet.

Re: Best, first accusim aircraft.

For me at the moment, the one I fly most is the Stratocruiser with COTS. Just a sublime sim experience :D I bought COTS when it came out but didn't fly with it for ages, a bit intimidated I guess, but took the plunge finally, and its fantastic. With COTS I fly the Strat a lot more often now. Next is...

Re: Atlantic crossing

Thanks for the info, to be honest I was wondering whether FSX actually put any significant weather/ winds over the big oceans. I've come across other areas, Africa for example, where weather is almost non existant, at least on the ground. Lack of reporting and or coverage I guess. I was however assu...

Atlantic crossing

Hey guys, I'm planning my first trans Atlantic trip from London to Gander and was wondering if I could pick up any tips from the captains who've done it before. Like whats the best altitude, roughly what fuel to plan to take etc. I'm going to head out over Ireland and use two radio beacon ships to n...

Re: Check-lists your opinion is needed !

Luckily for me I fly the 377 with COTS now, and the checklist is way shorter thankfully :D
