Re: Did 2WW aircraft actualky have ILS ?

ILS systems where tested as early as 1929 in the USA. But it was not before after WW2 that it started to be used outside USA. Germany had a similar system used at Tempelhof Airport in 1932. Navigation beacons at that time where more like NDB's. The kind of ILS used in P3D / FSX (MSFS2020) and what i...

Re: Disappointed with the Cub for P3DV4

I'm sorry to say, but I find that Rob's graphics looks overall weird - kind of lifeless. Could just be the video capture though Maybe deleting the shader cache would help ! At least it don´t hurt. Delete the "Shaders" folder: •Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Local ► ...

Re: Disappointed with the Cub for P3DV4

I don´t think the "new" Piper Cub is a direct portover from FSX, but rather an enhancement of the old one, adding PBR.
Personally I´m not disappointed, since I did not expect anything new, except the inclusion of PBR and raindrops on the windschield.

Re: Request: Water spray on windscreen -Float version

I have been flying a Super Cub on floats this summer. We only got water on the windscreen and side windows when taxiing against some waves. As soon as you have power on, the prop blows it quickly underneath the fuselage. See picture from a take-off run. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ovwcj8e0gw8sj3/IMG...

Re: Cub - first impression/no persistent state?

I agree with IGrant. The Cub looks (best PBR ever seen so far) and flies very nice, but the missing Hangar is dissapointing and i wouldn‘t buy it now with the knowing of that (bought it to early :?). Especially that the different specs (ski, tundra, etc.) can’t be put into the same airplane via...

Re: L-049 Connie Update

yup, the DC-6 is not PMDG's brightest star but neither is the Connie for A2A. It's certainly a nice aircraft and well modelled regarding its systems. but this COTS addition desperately needs attention. As a non-native English speaker it's nearly impossible to understand many of the crew or FO calls...

Request: Water spray on windscreen -Float version

Would it be possible to put some water spray on the windscreen when operating with the float version on water ?

I´m not sure how much water would be sprayed in real life, but I would expect some.

Maybe a limitation of the water effects on the windscreen.

Selecting the Tundra wheel version there seems not to be a pilot, neither when looking from external view, or with the Shift+4 panel.

Re: Top Gun 2020

I like to watch Top Gun, but only for the nice F-14 footage. The story is crap and the air to air fighting laughable. Problem is that a movie being realistic in this regard, would be rather tame for the audience.
I take it for what it is - a Holywood movie produced to entertain a broader audience.

Re: Should A2A release official trainers even if not "complete" by our standard?

I vote "no". Alot of people would not recognise that it´s a "half baked" product, and would chime in with alot of whining, which only would led to negative posts elsewhere, giving A2A aq bad reputation. For me A2A has allways been a company delivering finished high quality produ...

Re: UPDATE: Weathership Gauge V1.33a with Land based HF and LORAN stations

Wothan, Many thanks for this fantastic gauge! I've retrofitted it to several classic planes in my FS hangar. It really adds a nice layer of immersion to the 'vintage' operating experience. One possible issue I've noticed: the Anchorage HF station does not appear to work. The receiver is turned 'ON'...
