Sorry I have missed the last couple of weeks but I've been away / ill. Very sorry to hear about Gypsy, that's quite a shock. I will join on Sunday to pay my respects.

Re: Where Flight Simulation is Going is 2023
"It's hard to gauge revenue from that but I assume the average MSFS user will spend $50, so $500 million as a starting point." The 10 million players figure is the number of people who apparently have installed MSFS since its release and this is a marketing figure and has to be taken with ...

Re: Where Flight Simulation is Going is 2023
I accept I have a very narrow point of view, but I am not joking. I started flightsimming in 1983, with a break in the 90s when work didn't allow me the time. I am now retired and fly in P3D almost every day, mainly long haul but starting to get back into GA with the A2A aircraft. If I was a new sim...

Re: Where Flight Simulation is Going is 2023
On July 25, 2012, Microsoft announced it had cancelled further development of Microsoft Flight, stating that this was part of "the natural ebb and flow" of application management. On 9 July 2014, Dovetail Games announced a licensing agreement with Microsoft to distribute Microsoft Flight S...

Re: BOB2 WINDOWS 10 PATCH (RELEASED)
I got the Windows 10 Patch working yesterday, so thought I would relay a few of the settings I used. I'm running Windows 10 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti and my native screen resolution is 3840x2160 (4K 16:9). I installed the CD version of BOB2 in the default directory and then ran the Windows 1...

Rain effects on windshield
Should there be rain effects on the windshield? I don't seem to be getting any in the P3D version (4.3). Can't remember if I got them in FSX.
Thanks

Re: B377 transponder?
Hi Andrew, the 377 has a fully FSX capable transponder, that also works with ATC, just like any other FSX aircraft. .... Greets, Marc Hi Marc: like Andrew I am a bit confused now... and I have not found that transponder yet, let alone been able to tune it... Could you help us and point us in the ri...

Re: ILS
If you tune the NAV radio to the ILS, switch on the autopilot and then press Ctrl-a to switch on approach mode, you can 'cheat' and get the Stratocruiser to follow the glide slope. Because of the relatively poor turning performance of the Strat, you can sometimes lose the ILS lock. It's therefore ea...

Re: COTS and oil dilution
Great thanks, that explains it, I think everyhting is working fine then. Am loving COTS BTW, adds another level of realism.

Re: COTS and oil dilution
I have tried running it on just one engine, and on all 4 together. When I start dilution, oil temp in the tank is >40 degrees and oil temp in the engine is <10 degrees. Used to work fine, and the engine oil temp would slowly rise but since installing COTS the engine oil temp doesn't change (I zoom i...

COTS and oil dilution
Does anyone else have an issue with oil dilution not working running COTS? Was working OK for me before COTS and now doesn't seem to be working. I have applied the patch, which didn't seem to fix the problem.
As far as I can tell everything else is working.
Thanks

Re: Nav Panel??
I saw when looking through some forum queries about ILS, a reference to the " Nav PaneL" on the 377. I find, and use a 'Nav Map', but be darned if I can find a ' Nav Panel'. " Cntrl A seems to work for me, for ILS .. --- Am I missing something here. :) My guess is that they are refer...

Re: Saved State A Must?
I find even with a save flight not everything is saved, for example some of the switch settings (pitot heat and air conditioning for example). I usually opt to cold start if I am loading a new flight after loading FSX because of this.
