Re: Posting message FAILURES

I had the message 'to log' in again, today with a reply I was posting. Is there an auto timed logout on the site perhaps?

Re: P3D v6 and A2A

I sure hope so. Meanwhile, my first question when there's a hot new sim, or hot new version of an pre-existing sim, is: does it work with the A2A P-40? If yes, I proceed. If no, well then it's a negative function. Seeya ATB We are of a similar mind. No A2A warbirds, no purchase. Sláinte. Steve.

Re: Entire paint pallet showing on plane instead of the actual paint job

You can move your custom layers over into a new paint kit by opening both the old and new in Photoshop. Have them both in view, drag your layer out and drop it into the new while holding both the SHIFT and CTRL keys. It's positioning is preserved but you will need to arrange the layers order of posi...

Re: Entire paint pallet showing on plane instead of the actual paint job

Ooh! Diminished Passion for Flight? :( Yeah. For a number of reasons. Mainly, I really thought I'd be flying a PBR Spitfire, or any other PBR warbird by now. There are more but I won't bore you with the details. Suffice to say I cannot get on with MSFS and it looks like P3D has been abandoned. Steve.

Re: Entire paint pallet showing on plane instead of the actual paint job

So. Looking at the last two pictures you posted I see you have somehow moved the 'Linear Burn' layer. Either you need to move it back, or start with a new paint kit. As for 8888 or DXT5, it's up to you. I like to use 8888 so not to lose quality but it is a larger file. DXT5 is old school but just as...

Re: Entire paint pallet showing on plane instead of the actual paint job

That is weird. Normally I would say flip the image but you say you have. The logo on the side certainly looks the right way up and the paint kit is just the one texture. So nothing to mix up in that regard. It's almost as if it's the wrong kit. Things look to be in the wrong place certainly. This ma...

Re: Entire paint pallet showing on plane instead of the actual paint job

Paint or decals, like aircraft reg. numbers showing as faded or see-through, could be an Alpha channel issue. Perhaps make the painted\stencil areas more transparent, or lighter grey in the Alpha, or even totally white? Steve. Edit: For 'normal' and A2A, I set the Format - BC3 RGBA 8bpp - DXT5: Inte...

Re: Finished Repaints

I know this is dragging up a very old post, but I recently just got the T6... I don't suppose this repaint is available anywhere? The link to it isn't working. Thanks Jamie Yeah those are old links. Had to re-shuffle my hosting options last year. Should be fixed now, in the original post. There may...

Re: Where to find A2A aircraft liveries?

There are nice listings for the GA birds, T-6, and Connie here: https://www.freewarescenery.com/repaints/a2a-cherokee.html Last time I clicked on a livery there I got infected with a nasty virus. Had to wipe my PC. It was a hijacked site evidently. All I'm saying is, be cautious. Steve. Huh, odd. I...

Re: Where to find A2A aircraft liveries?

Since A2A has nothing ready for MSFS I assume you mean for the other sims. There are loads at https://library.avsim.net/ Search Avsim and you will probably find something to your liking. Most of mine are there. Warbirds mainly but I have done some GA stuff. What I have there and more can be found at...
