Re: A question about the Lockheed Constellation

I think the Connie does not go into beta because A2A has faithfully adhered to the capabilities of an early Connie. The 049 initially did not have “reverse” props because that wasn’t available until later in the development process. I’m just speculating here though! 😉 Exactly Jacques... as always, ...

Re: Can we load shotgun rounds during flight in spitfire mk2b? In Real life?

Whilst you can't "reload" the cartridge cylinder in the air, you CAN choose the next round by pulling the breech control. So if you only used one in the startup, you should have two restarts while in the air. If you are out of cartridges, you can trade height for speed and get the airscrew turning f...

Re: A2A on Orbx Direct.... :-O

From A2A's point of view I see the logic.. reach more customers (I'm not so sure about THAT myself...) From a customer's point of view, why EVER buy from a third party when the direct is EASILY available. Why pay ORBX a commission and reduce revenue to A2A (or why pay MORE at the third party). At le...

Re: Recommendations for New Computer

Yeah, me too. I really wish I hadn't had to sell the guts of the wooden pit to finance the new one. It has been over four years since I did any flying in it at all. On a related note.. the wooden pit is sitting, gutted, ready to be chopped up and thrown away (MDF) or salvaged (Jarrah and metal). If ...

Also complete, the instrument panel hoop, which defines the angles of the upper structure forward of the pilot. A far from simple uneven "T" structure with two curves, the aft section .05" proud of the forward section. The hoop is fitted with 17 x 2BA floating anchors, each requiring alignment of tw...

Re: Spitfire K9817 Build

The lower longerons have also arrived and await assembly (hundreds of rivets!) The bottom photo shows where they fit at the base of the frames. The next job is to replace my temporary mock up Upper Longerons with properly folded 16SWG units, quite a serious folding and bending challenge over a 7 foo...
