Engine stops = FPS drops
Hi,
I noticed a strange thing in P3D v3. When I park the plane and stop the engine, the FPS drops to about 10 inside the cockpit. No matter where I look. In external views I still get decent 30-40s. It never happened in FSX.
Anyone else has this?
Thanks,
Greg

Bomber bases in P3D
Hi,
I know it's slightly off topic, but does anyone have experience with the bomber base sceneries from http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/ in P3D?
I installed Thorpe Abbots and Bassingbourn. Everything is there, except for the taxiways, and I can't figure out why.
Thanks in advance!
Greg

Limiting fps
I have 25-40 fps and it's pretty smooth. However, when I fly close to an ai it starts shaking back and forth over 30 fps. Therefore, I have to limit it. In game limiter: if i limit it to 29 fps it drops to 19-20. What happened to the remaining 10? No go. Tacpack limiter: it's an experimental feature...

Re: FSX Carrier question
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is simconnect? I don't think I ever installed that one. How does it work? Thanks!

Re: FSX Carrier question
Sadly it didn't help. It's Dino's T-45, and it's interesting to note that in external view I can throttle up alright. When in cockpit view, the wheel jumps out of the launch bar after around 50% of throttle. Which version of the T-45? If it is his latest, I may not have that one. I'll give i...

FSX Carrier question
I know it's offtopic but someone here might be able to answer. I'm using Javier's Nimitz addon, and it works fine with all aircraft, but one. I can attach the plane to the launch bar just fine, but when I apply full power it releases automatically and the plane slowly rolls forward. It does hold unt...

Re: B-17 books
I just finished reading 2 more books: Masters of the air An incredibly thorough history of the 8th AF. From EVERY aspect. Can get a little dry at times, but I learned a lot. John Comer - Combat Crew Now this is more like what I prefer. If "Masters of the air" was at one end of the strategi...

Re: Some practical questions
Thanks for the replies. I have some other questions that have arisen: My co-pilot has been handling the cowl flaps correctly when I told him to do so, but yesterday he would keep them where they were, regardless the temperature. On the other hand, he did manage to handle the intercoolers correctly. ...
