Re: Interest gone...any one else experienced this?
I go through phases. This month it’s DCS, next month it’ll be Shogun 2, and maybe four months from now I’ll be using P3D like it’s going out of style. I always come back though.

Re: A2A Comanche just become 5 mph faster
Simply wrapping the pipes on my motorcycle picked up a few extra horses. You’d be surprised how it all connects. I wrapped the Comanche exhaust pipes a while ago and in just a short time they just disintegrated. How long did that wrap last? It’s still going strong. Sort of. You have t...

It’s not worth it. Total trash. Who would want the most accurate B-17 ever simulated?

Re: Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog...
Just wanted to add that I’m pro TM. There might be a few growing pains with the stick that I’ve encountered, but the company I work for sends all of their sim units out with this joystick (as default). From experience, I’ve worked with extremely high end equipment and found that...

Re: I want to understand altimetry - Part 2
Another cool thing you can do, is that if you know the airfield elevation (as long as it doesn’t vary much), you can figure out the barometric pressure as well. Set your altimeter to the field altitude, and BAM, there you go. I believe in the old days, it was common to check airport elevation...

For the the record, you don’t have to pull the stick full back. Aft of neutral is fine.

Re: Shared cookpit option
The reason the vast majority of A2A planes do not support shared cockpit is because much of the way these planes are built is designed outside of the core engine. As such, the simulator cannot send this data over the internet to update the other persons aircraft. Further, you’d likely only be...

This is probably old code. Many A2A planes can be “ditched†in water in an emergency.

Re: I'll just make it there...
The weather up in the Northwest isn’t so great, but so typical. Sometimes I don’t miss living there. I set my weather a week or so back historically, to slightly better weather. I actually just flew a similar route into Siletz (from Pearson, VERY close to where I used to live). Ended u...

Re: Trying Out A2A
If you're looking for a bit of speed, but still want to learn navigation etc., I'd recommend the 182. The Bonanza might be a bit of a handful until you've spent more time with her, especially if you're trying to learn navigation, but she's a great plane regardless. Remember, however, she's fairly hi...
