Re: A2A Licensing with FSX and P3D

I made the move to P3D a few weeks back and I think it will be the platform I will use from now on. Is there any ETA when I can buy the P3D license for the C172?

Thanks

Lots of good points raised here, and for the record if SOW makes a contribution to our appreciation for BOB then I will be more than happy to watch its success. I just felt that people saying SOW would naturally be awesome was pretty premature. I guess for me its all about perspective, WOV in my vie...

Manual patrols are the way to go, just make them small (flights or elements). You'll probably need to do this as its the only way to get good intercepts if the LW is bombing targets in Kent and East Sussx is to have aircaft in the air you can then vector in to raids. If you wait to scamble the probl...

Ah, so developers should just create true historical missions, attach a camera and let us go a long for the ride. No need for all these dynamic campaigns either since why should the Luftwaffe ever win. As Osram suggest there are many aspects to consider and decisions have to be made, and in the end...

Ya just showed your bias, and no offense but based on you comments I doubt you could accept any BOB sim that didn't give you the results you have perceived ahead of time. These are games and not how history is studied. According to you then, there should only be mythical conflicts between the red a...

Well I for one want SOW to succeed; I want another BOB sim to fly and I hope it has cutting edge graphics as well as a decent single player campaign. This isnt really the point! Of course I'd like to see a new BOB sim succeed with the caveat that it is of good quality. Of course this is most likely...

Yeah I think this was what I was trying to get at in my earlier post. Even if the graphics are amazing (oh and BTW who will actually be able to run them?) the reality of any BOB simulation is if the campaign is borked then the lasting appeal will be pretty limited. Even back in the days of Lucasfilm...

Yeah I think Rowan saw Boscombe Down and because it was solely a Bomber base after later 41, early 42, thought OK it must be bomber command then. Its actually a historically significant fighter command field as the BOBs only VC receipient (Eric James Brindley Nicolson) flew from there with 249 Sqn....

Suggestions in terms of reasonably possible tweaks for the next patch: 1) Change Boscombe Down to a fighter station as it was in the battle Was it? [EDIT] Yes, you're right. I thought it was Bomber Command only. I see that Number 56 and 249 Squadrons visited for a time. Never knew that. Yeah I thin...

Yeah I guess the uneasy combination of a Spitfire VB in some of the shots and the rock music makes me question how careful they are going to be with the historical accuracy here. I also question why they are including so many tanks in the project as BOB was fundamentally an air battle. It seems to b...

Hmmm OK well good to know that my airfields wont stay knocked out, but what are the rates of repair, do you know? Also are airfields not repaired during certain phases of the battle? In theory in my case I am still in the Kanalkampf or Channel Battle phase of the Battle and as I said earlier dover d...
