Re: P3D5.3 now out

Looks really promising. I’m going to wait a week or two until everyone (ORBX, A2A, etc.) confirm compatibility before I update. Downloading it now though so I’m ready! Glad to see further updates, can’t bring myself to switch to MSFS 2020 with all the $$$$ I have invested in P3D.

Re: Coordinated Turns

I agree that you may have a controller issue.
I have no difficulty with coordinated turns in the ‘17.
Hopefully you can sort it out!

Re: Constellation or Stratocruiser

Both are great simulations of classic airliners! Both definitely require some time spent with the manual but are rewarding when you figure it all out! It’d be hard for me to pick one or the other, I would save up and get them both!! Unfortunately the Strat never made it to P3Dv4+ and beyond. Fingers...

Thank You!

A quick thank you to the A2A team! :a2awhite: Really nice to have the ‘17 back in the sim world again. I was surprised how quickly it all came back to me after all of these years! Successful first flight from Reading PA to Hamilton On from a C&D start. Cheers all and have a safe and healthy New ...

Re: C-1 Autopilot Inoperative in P3dv5

I can confirm the C-1 works in P3Dv5.1.
As stated above you need to select the desired auto pilot from the shift+3 menu.
I hate to remind you but......RTFM!

Re: Rudder Pedals?

I have both CH and Saitek pedals.
Only issue I’ve had was the Saitek software for the X52 Pro caused me some grief (CTD) with my W7 setup.
I have been using only my CH controls since.

Re: The passing of Tom Weiss

Sad news indeed. Never had the pleasure of meeting Tom but definitely enjoyed a bunch of his repaints. His legacy will carry on with all of us. Most sincere condolences to Tom’s family and friends. Blue skies and tailwinds Tom.

Great advice Nick, definitely brightened up my sim world!
Thanks! 🙂
There are some more Envshade setting ideas here if anyone wants to tinker some more.

Re: Maps & Gps on IPad/Tablet

P3D will broadcast your GPS position to your network.
I use ForeFlight on my iPad while sim flying.
I’m sure it will work with other apps as well.

Re: It's time to say goodbye..

I agree long flights in the big bombers can be a bit dull at times. That is why the A2A B-17 was such a great airplane. The in depth systems and Accusim features kept me occupied and interested. Always a challenge to try and fly her by the book. The complex systems of the P-47 were a joy as well. As...

Re: P3D - Parking brake

Do you have anything assigned to the left and right brake axis?
A set of rudder pedals perhaps?

You need to put a check in the reverse axis box if you do for the brakes to release correctly.

Re: Latest Nvidia Drivers

I have also been at this for 20+ years, never had such an issue with display drivers, that’s why I posted. I think the problem was somehow related to my TrackIR. Any head movement was delayed and jumpy. Panning around caused significant stutters. Naturally with TrackIR your head is always moving a...

Re: Latest Nvidia Drivers

Yes, I clear the shader cache after each update and each change or addition to P3D.
Like I said, everyone’s setup is different.
I limit my FPS to 24 in complex areas and 30 flying in sparse areas.
