Re: Maps & Gps on IPad/Tablet

P3D will broadcast your GPS position to your network.
I use ForeFlight on my iPad while sim flying.
I’m sure it will work with other apps as well.

Re: It's time to say goodbye..

I agree long flights in the big bombers can be a bit dull at times. That is why the A2A B-17 was such a great airplane. The in depth systems and Accusim features kept me occupied and interested. Always a challenge to try and fly her by the book. The complex systems of the P-47 were a joy as well. As...

Re: P3D - Parking brake

Do you have anything assigned to the left and right brake axis?
A set of rudder pedals perhaps?

You need to put a check in the reverse axis box if you do for the brakes to release correctly.

Re: Latest Nvidia Drivers

I have also been at this for 20+ years, never had such an issue with display drivers, that’s why I posted. I think the problem was somehow related to my TrackIR. Any head movement was delayed and jumpy. Panning around caused significant stutters. Naturally with TrackIR your head is always moving a...

Re: Latest Nvidia Drivers

Yes, I clear the shader cache after each update and each change or addition to P3D.
Like I said, everyone’s setup is different.
I limit my FPS to 24 in complex areas and 30 flying in sparse areas.

Latest Nvidia Drivers

I realize everyone’s system and situation is different but thought it worth posting just in case. Nvidia’s latest drivers 442.59 had a significant impact on FPS in P3Dv4.5 on my PC. Even with reduced settings it became a slideshow in some instances. Most significant impact was panning with Track...

Re: list of up comming projects

I feel the same way about AH stuff. Visually outstanding but operationally leave much to be desired. FYI, there has been a recent update for the AH/JF C-46 (done by the JF people) that is a huge improvement over the original release.

Re: Cub - first impression/no persistent state?

Funny coincidence Scott, I ask the very same question of first time passengers.
“Do you like roller coasters?”
Excellent way to gauge what type of flight it will be.

I’m with you Lewis.
3am here, just finished watching the Aus GP.
Nice to see Valtteri take the win, sorry not a big Hamilton fan.

Lesson learned.

Thought I’d post this in case others have had similar problems, because the solution wasn’t something I would have considered. Recently I installed ORBX’s Germany North and South my PC. Flying the Bonanza in Germany would cause P3Dv4 to stutter and freeze, requiring a forced reb...

Re: Bonanza Frame Rates

Thanks for the suggestions Nick.
I tried disabling both individually and discovered it was in fact the mirrors.
Disabling those gave me an extra 20+ FPS.
I knew they were a bit resource hungry but didn’t expect it to be that much.

Thanks again.

Cheers, Bernard
