Re: FSX Installation folder
On my older computer, FSX was installed in a C/FSX folder. On my new computer, it is in x86/MS games/FSX. Only difference is with the default x86 with my Win7 security turned up, starting FSX calls for a UAC ok, yes or no. Not a big deal for this extra step. Performance and speed wise, there is no d...

Re: A-N navigation
The FS9 Radio Range radio gauge itself will not work in FSX. Adding the scenery will give FSX many more NDBs that will work as a standard NDB, but some do conflict with the default NDBs. Similar freq. close to each other. I have read some forum posts about making an FSX version, but nothing for sure...

Re: Engine start and fuel pressure
Not sure if anything has changed with the Spit. Pulling the throttle back causes it to foul pretty quick on mine.

Re: Engine start and fuel pressure
Tested this. FSXA. Fair WX. Without the electric fuel pump on, it will hold fuel pressure above 500rpm. At 500rpm, fuel pressure drops to zero. A good reason to keep the electric fuel pump on at all times. Also, idling at 5-600rpm, after 1 minute or so, the plugs are fouled enough to cause a slow dr...

Re: cold oil pressure, 500 RPM idle, startup experience.
A2A changed the oil pressure with the March update, it is no longer sky high with a cold start up.

Re: 1945 P-51 D Shutdown procedure
I got this from a Merlin engine manual dated 1944.
This manual is specifically for the Merlin 65 thru 85 engines with cut off, run and full rich throttle settings.
"The opening of the throttle after operating the cut off ensures a clean cut off without afterfiring."

Also tested from idle 800-1000rpm, slow throttle up to max, rudder controls are good.
I might suspect your rudder pedals?

Thank you all for your messages and feedback! Does anyone have any criticisms/critiques of the modifications? What you might like to see differently, or added? There were a few small issues I spotted in my work on the grey cockpit textures for VH-NZH, that I have now corrected (mixture knob and thr...
