Re: FLYING THE SPITFIRE: Flying a Circuit (Landing pattern)

Excellent read! I would like to have some aspects of the flight dynamics / ground physics fine-tuned though... .) We should be able to operate the brakes more closely to the real thing, but I tried to set the brake to a button on my TS16000 and then steer and brake to be able to have differential br...

Installing the Spitfire in P3d v3.4 ?

Hi, I'm planning to buy P3D just to be able to use the FSLabs A320 and my old A2A fighters, p51d civil and military as well as the Spitfire, and maybe the B377 too... I will then have to apply the Accusim update, but question is, since these products do not have a p3d version, how should I go ? 1) I...

Re: It certainly feels much better after the latest ACCUSIM!

Thx a LOT for confirming this Scott! Amazing indeed the new feel, inflight and during taxi / takeoff - now you have really nailed that shadowed, for years!, area of the TC core "bug", we finally have a plausive turn-coordinator, and it's really a joy to fly this aircraft, and the others in the fleet...

Still unsure about what to install :-/

When I bought the B377 I got two entries in my purchases roll: - wos_b377.zip - cots.zip I have always installed the wos_b377 followed by what I find inside of the cots.zip which reads: wos_b377_v2_full.EXE Then I run the latest accusim update. I wonder if I should only install the second one - v2 f...

It certainly feels much better after the latest ACCUSIM!

Sorry for the double post, but since it refers specifically to the P51d Civil and Military versions, I decided to post it here too: I had been away from using FSX for a while, and when last week I downloaded and applied this latest patch and went flying my p51d civil, military, as well as the cessna...

Re: Accu-Sim Update 5_1_16 DOWNLOAD

I had been away from using FSX for a while, and when last week I downloaded and applied this latest patch and went flying my p51d civil, military, as well as the cessnas and the 250, but particularly the p51s, I noticed something had changed, for the better, in terms of prop effects and pitch stabil...

If you aren't up to dogfighting, but....

flight dynamics are a must to you, which is my case, and has made me fall into some kind of addiction playing DCS World because of the very good flight dynamics we have there for the ww2 birds, then... Then, just like I did, I seriously recommend using A2A's p51d Military version.... Well, I'm that ...

Re: A very windy Comanche

A2A aircraft are designed in a way that makes the experience of "flying" them much more true to real when it comes to being bounced around like IRL... specially is a good weather injcetion is helping ( I use ASN ). Most default aircraft are less wobbling with the variable winds and turbulence, but t...

Re: Flap deployment and pitching moment... and gear drag...

Dudley, again, thank you for the response. You quoted L.A, although it was me in an answer to him who suggested the FDM used for the p51d could be simplified... I'm glad I was wrong. Dudley, and it's not only the flight dynamics - it's the full effects of engine management, persistent engine and ove...

Re: Flap deployment and pitching moment... and gear drag...

To be honest I also think it is wrong, at least in the amount of up nose I get, and the A2A probably a lot closer to reality, hence having asked the only who could answer from his real life experience - Dudley, more than I or any simmer :-) You're a different case Larry, because you did fly prop air...

Re: Flap deployment and pitching moment... and gear drag...

Initial post was based on a sim vs sim behavior... A2A's p51d Civil I believe belongs to a generation of accusimed aircraft that didn't have much of the flight dynamics inside of the a2a hands, but were still relying on MSFS's default core FDM. Most recent releases, as the C172, C182, Piper 180 and ...
