I've thought all along that many folks expectations for this sim where far too high. I also think we are really lucky it is even being released because it looked like it was heading for vapor ware. Opps, not AI but Adaptive Anti-Aliasing. Recall that you will need to set AF to use application settings and then set it to something high like 16x in BOB. AA can be handled in Catalyst Control Panel.

:) As a side note, I finally got around to watching Downfall last night, even my wife, who typically dislikes war period movies ,enjoyed it. She grew up in West Berlin, so I think that might have had something to do with it. Never the less, really good acting.

I see that multiskin is partially installed with the package. That said it appears that you have a residual .fx file left in your cockpm16 file. It is called bf110.fx . As posted in beta thread... I have Win7 64 and an ATI HD4890 card. I've only chosen to run bob.exe as admin and the videos play fine with no effort on my part. So, it does not appear to be an ATI issue unless it is driver related. I've not updated catalyst to new, so perhaps in there is an issue.

I think terrain shots are just demonstrating concepts and capabilities. The most interesting thing in my view is the switch from OGL to Direct X. Makes me wonder if the engine is not also console friendly.
