Re: Scholarly speculation on the BoB
When I worked in the coal mines, they had a saying about such speculation; 'And if my uncle hadn't had a willy, he'd have been my aunt' (I've cleaned that up a bit). Flying Legends Video
Here's some video clips of the airshow - not great quality camera-work but it gives a flavour of the day and it'll get you to some decent vids on YouTube.

Great Father's Day Present
Working in the garden this afternoon, when we were overflown by the BBMF - the Lanc, the Mk IIc Hurry, The Last of the Many, and the clipped-wing Mk XVIE Spitfire - twice! I hadn't seen either of the fighters before. Both my sons swore down they had arranged it as my Father's Day present - but then,...

Re: Recommend a new 27" monitor.
Hi Peter,
I have the Dell 30" monitor which runs at 2560 x 1600 and that runs BoB (when I have a working computer) just fine.

Re: I need help with programming my joystick
mptbowl, once you get your machine to the spec you need to run BoB, if you're running XP you can use MS's Sidewinder Central software to program your joystick, using the work-around described here: http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/v ... php?t=6966

Re: How to Download Free Photos from the Imperial War Museum
Great link SS - I've wondered for ages, how close the pilot of a Spitfire was to the controls and found a great photo on the site showing just that.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good force feedback stick
Yes, it does have throttle and rudder controls, Sean; I utilize the pots for my trim controls. As to progamming the stick, it's been a long time since I used my rig but I'm pretty sure I assigned the various buttons using the BoB GUI, before I modified the stick - definitely the fire button.

Sidewinder FF2 gets my vote too. I've used one for some years now and have a spare in the loft, should the worst happen.

Re: Breaking with pedals
It's been a long time since I used my gear but I had the brakes assigned to the toe brakes on my Saitek pedals. I still have my Saitek profile and can let you have a copy if you want. If you want to assign the brakes to somewhere else (you mention joystick axes), I can describe how to do so via the ...
