So, it was the second monitor. As soon as I disabled it in the Nvidia control panel, everything worked as advertised. Guess I should have kept it simple from the beginning with my troubleshooting...

Re: Trouble getting BOB to run again
I appreciate the suggestions. My DPI was set right, and my larger monitor is set as the primary in my Nvidia settings as well. I wasn't sure if maybe my install was broken, as I was working with an old install that had been copied as a backup, and couldn't find my original disk. Just in case, I purc...

Re: Trouble getting BOB to run again
That's what I've done so far to try and set the resolution. The screen res is set at 1920x1080p, as I just switched from a DVI/VGA output/input to an HDMI cable. I do need to check the DPI settings. Hopefully it doesn't have something to do either with multiple screens, or using the HDMI cable inste...

Trouble getting BOB to run again
Hi all, Wanted to give the new 2.12 patch a try, but haven't run BOB2 in a long time. Now I have two monitors, the primary one being an HDTV with res of 1920x1080. I'm also running a GTX 460 with the latest drivers. The problem seems to be if I set the resolution above 1024x768x32. Anything above th...

Wierd new problem..
I've had BOB for a couple of years now, on a couple of different machines. I've had it on this machine for about 8 months, or so. Everything ran great the last time I played it(probably a couple of months ago), but now when I go to play, the sound quality is set to low, and I can't change it back to...

Not sure how BOB works, but real ATC wind directions are given in the direction the wind is coming from. Thus, you would want to land as close to 135 as the runway setup would allow, if given 135 as a wind direction. You always want to be pointing into the wind, as this makes the airfoils more effic...

Hey Karaya,
You can find a replacement one that's a bit more accurate from Stickman here:
http://www.angelfire.com/mech/stickman1/Cockpits.html
He has a few other goodies there too.
Hope that helps.

marine, Yeah, you do have to get used to sitting a little more still. With the newer Track IR with 6DOF you don't have to worry about it quite as much, although in BOBII you do get the whole she-bang with side to side/fore and back movement. It comes with just a little use, and then it will feel com...

I know it's a little out of place here, as it's a helo sim, but the pilot and aircrew 3D models in this sim are great. Even their animations look realistic. Take a look at the gallery at the bottom of the page. Great pics. http://int.games.1c.ru/whirlwind_of_vietnam/ If you'll read further, you'll n...

320MB Video. ??? 320...Why would they add an extra 64mb mod to a 256? Why not just bump that up to a 512 or 384...bringing the 64mb chip back into style I reckon lol. Yeah, it is a wierd number. I have the 8800 GTX and its memory is 768mb I believe. Something about the new chip's archintecture requ...

Joachim, That's really interesting. I've always been a big airplane nut, and love working on them(and hopefully flying them soon). I was wondering what aircraft you worked on during the war. The only kinds of engines I haven't worked on are radials, but I've been around them a bunch. I'd have to say...

That's just too cool. I've read some articles on that particular aircraft. Really rare indeed. That aircraft was actually flown by Hans-Joachim Marsielle, and crashed on the coast of France by the soon to be Star of Africa. It was then refurbished and sent to the Eastern Front where it crashed again...
