OK, thanks guys. It's not a problem that bothers me, BTW - I just thought it might be my rig setup or game settings.

Disappearing Prop

Anybody else seen this:
Image

See that the prop seems to disappear into the clouds. this FSX by the way.
Is this a known problem or is it just my particular setup? Do I have the latest updates?

Thanks,

Re: I can't play WoV anymore...

[quote="McMick I've looked at CH products and they are pricey, but are they the *best* quality there is?[/quote] Yes, IMO they are. I've owned MS, Logitech, Cougar, and now CH. I have a Fighterstick, Throttle and Pedals (all USB). Yep, they are pricey, but you would likely only have to buy them...

Interesting link, Skycat. Most obvious to me is how much better the CAD rendering looks using curves, than the one using poly's. I have never understood why real curves can't be used in sims.

Reading this thread has gotten me thinking. I initially voted for a Corsair, because I wanted a WOP one, but the fact is, there are several Corsairs out there already. I know the WOP version would be better, BUT, I don't know of anyone that's done a Typhoon for FS. Might even be able to do a Typhoon...

What "engine" is it? Does it already exist, or is it going to be created from scratch? Sorry, but I've got this picture in my mind of the WOP detailed aircraft and superior flight models in a combat sim and it makes my mouth water. :P

If my vote counts, I'd love to see a WOP Corsair. :P

Of course they're Intel tests - they're honest aren't they?  I did my own little real-world test on FSX. I set up a free flight in FSX and flew with my frame rate unlocked. I got a max of 44 FPS. I re-booted, turned on overclocking to 10% and re-flew the exact same mission, without chang...

He he. Technology marches forward. If you go to the Intel site today, they are advertising the quad core right now. Tests show it outperforming the dual core by nearly double. Whether a game is optimised for it or not, it will dramatically improve performance. Combine the quad core with a shiny, new...

Quick question on flaps and gear. Will they deploy at speeds above recommended, if I'm dumb enough to do it? I can say for sure that they don't seem to for me.

Thanks,

Its very simple. think of it this way: someone from the New York state in the U.S. is both a New Yorker and an American. Some one from Toronto is both a Canadian and an Ontarian. Someone from England is both English and British.

Really? I wanted to get rid of them because of the drag they cause, and the weight. Does the flight model change if they're disabled?
