Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

Finally after replacing my sound card with the PCIe X-Fi Titanium my problems are solved and curiously the auto update reverts to the slighly older 2.170007 driver. So if anyone has a similar problem as I have experienced, please realize that the current X-fi PCI drivers for WIN7 64 bit (2.18) are n...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

Final follow up. I created a 100G partition on a WD CAV Black 500G. Formatted it and installed Vista Ultimate 64 Bit. I then installed the chipset drivers and the usual suspects including sound and video drivers, I also updated to SP 2. The drivers for the X-Fi in Vista are the same ones for WIN7. W...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

My problems are away and in a very simple way! I bought a new soundcard and guess what kind of card - Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty. With it and the latest driwers (integrated SounMAX deleted) Razorback is THE PLANE again ! Thats good to hear Heikki Soini. I am now dual booting WIN7...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

I'm using an X-Fi card and it works fine. Just make sure any prior drivers from a previous motherboard, etc are considered. This has caused problems and is documented here. Appreciate your input. I have read all the related threads, even those by you in the Cub forum and elsewhere on X-fi sound car...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

Plexi1 and KryceUk, thanks for info. I will look into the USB port issue with my motherboard. While I am not using any PCI USB cards I am using the extra USB buses on the mobo. When I get a chance I will disconnect them and see what that does. I am willing to try anything at this point. I am exited ...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

I am still dealing with this sound issue. I have gone through a complete re-format and OS re-install and re-installation of FSX with the CUB and P47 and my sound issue remains. Just out of curiosity, hoping someone is reading this, anyone running with the latest x64 creative drivers with any X-FI ca...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

Thank you FAC257 for the suggestions. I tried updating DirectX and apparently I had the most recent version already installed so that made no difference. I also tried deleting the current X-fi drivers and let windows try to install some default driver. WIN7 (x64) Professional would not install any d...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

your other addons may work fine as they are made the same as the rest were as the accu-sim stuff is a first to really use outside coding to get around limitation of the simulator and bring you the realistic experience and never before seen features that were never meant to be seen in FSX. Thanks Le...

Re: Sound Issues with P47 w/ WIN7 64 and Creative SB X-Fi

Thanks for the tip Snave. Unfortunately, I have tried that several times. I switched from game mode which is the default mode and then switched to entertainment, tried it and then switched back. No joy.... :( Seems so strange that all of my other 3rd party stuff works just fine. Its just the P47 wit...

Re: Landing the P-47

Thanks again for the informative post Mitchell. Sorry for my mingling of AOA and pitch angle, you squared me away.

Re: Landing the P-47

Excellent guide Mitchell, much appreciated. In your flap/speed numbers near the end you made no mention of AOA or pitch angle. For me this has been my primary issue with the FM. The P47 as well as many other big R2800 equipped birds were well known to be very agreeable when trimmed for landing in te...

Re: Flaws with P-47 Flight Model

Have'nt felt the need to post in a long while but this discussion caught my interest. As I am sure all Flight Simmers/Pilots are, I too am concerned with the fidelity of a flight model. Even with the limitations of FSX, I have high hopes for as much "reality" as possible or in the least the ability ...

In your aircraft.cfg for the 109 check the section for electrical and look for the line " electricity_always_available = #" if this number is a 1 everytime you load the plane the battery will be switched on and you will always hear the gyros no matter what you do.

Excellent video Manta, well done. I do have a question, I noticed when you start your fuel pump and pressure is coming up you have a nice audible hum for the pump motor and pressure, mine however does not have this sound when I actuate my pump. Is this something you added to the plane cfg and sound ...
