Re: BoB night fighting

Looking for detailed information on how Dowding organized his night fighter units, aircraft types, squadron designations, AC counts, radars (ground and airborne), and control methods during the Battle of Britain (July to November 1940). Do any of you know of such a source(s)? I'd be interested in t...

Re: Dunkirk film

What a film! Not the usual war movie and a bit "arty", I think it's stunning.

Did you notice that Sir Michael Caine was the fighter controllers voice, a definite nod to the Battle of Britain movie.

Re: Link to version 2.06 patch

Hi lektoraj

Here's 2.05 which is very stable and old-PC friendly. This is the last patch before the new buildings went in I think, I used it for a few years before upgrading PC's.

Re: Barrage Balloons

If everything I've read is correct the balloon barrage claimed many more Allied aircraft than Luftwaffe and also closed a number of airfields in the latter part of the war including Biggin Hill. Have just read an account of a Stirling being brought down by cables over Crewe killing all on board.

Hi Hazzie, wonderful modelling! My skills are a little more modest than yours but your photos are inspiring. :)

I've looked at getting the Airfix 1/24 model but its finding somewhere to keep I once finished.....
