Re: Will the Aerostar 600 be available for FSX?

The F-105's were my favorite to work on! There is just 'something' in that generation of jets. Too bad I've only seen them in museums. -Esa IMO The Century Series jets were the most beautiful combat jets to ever fly. At least the coolest looking. Still had some that romance of flight in their desig...

Re: Some Jems by Steven Wright

Great quotes. This one, though purely scientific, is so interesting: "28 - If your car could travel at the speed of light, would your headlights work?" The answer is yes. The person in the car would see the light beam go out at the speed of light. The person watching the car would see something dif...

Re: Forgettably good landings & nonexistant inflight troubles

@maddz: ok, though that did indeed happen this flight, there was also an inflight announcement to the same effect, even though the fuellevel at that time must have been at around 40% if not more To add to what maddz was saying about the 10% fuel level; all it takes is for any single fuel tank to hi...

Re: Range?

These are logged hours and mileage from some of my longer L049 flights. Typically I depart at MTOW. Since time to landing isn't something I aim for during endurance flights, I'll slow her down until she's just about to start wallowing. RPMs down to 2100-2200 and the MP down to the bottom of the gree...

Re: Midway trailer 2 2019

My team mate in the next office went and saw it this weekend. He has a pretty good taste in movies and said it was really bad. I'm still looking forward to watching it when it finally hits streaming. This one is another 2019 movie about Midway. It's already streaming and in my watch list. Just waiti...

New Nvidia Sharpening Setting_In-Sim Screenshots

In case anyone missed this new toy from Nvidia, here are a couple of in-sim shots using the Nvidia Sharpening setting on the newer drivers. I'm currently using the 441.08 Nvidia drivers which I grabbed right after reading the Avsim thread about this, and started playing around with settings. There i...

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - News and Footage

What plane would be absolutely perfect for exploring the new high-res world with procedural grass/vegetation and all the other bells and whistles? Lancaster! Well, NOE flying from the nose turret view would be rather spectacular, I have to agree... :D The ability to enjoy the scenery while in the V...

Re: Your choice for 1st A2A plane in MSFS2020

Well...If your going to make me be practical, then I would say first choice would go to the B377, then the L049, and for a GA pick to get into the airports those two won't fit, I would add the Cessna 182.

At least I didn't add the B-36 and the B-70, to my unfinished wish list. :D

Re: Your choice for 1st A2A plane in MSFS2020

First bring back the B-29. Second the B-24 both variants. Then the Japanese Zero. <<<<< Out all the single engine WWII aircraft we've done, I've always missed being able to fly that one from time to time. It's also one that really hasn't been over done by anyone over the years. That would keep me co...

Re: This is where it started for me

This was the first MSFS paint I tried. I used her as my personal B-29, back during the WOP days, while trying to teach myself how to do re-paints. "Behind In My Painting" - Summer 2005 https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/922/yL0KKJ.jpg Shortly after, for Christmas 2005 came the infamous "Ice Pri...

Re: not happy with A2A Connie

I've been trying to think of any reason why it shouldn't work for you. Looking at L049 version vs sim version and the like, but I'm pretty sure the F&P Mgr has always been openable in-flight.

I've been flying with the Fuel & Payload Manager screen opened after airborne, as far back as I can recall.
