Re: Hurricane?

Whilst an Accu Sim Hurricane would be lovely and much welcomed, I do think an Aircraft Factory Hurricane would suffice!

Re: windows10 update

One thing I forgot to mention was that for some reason, I had to set compatibility mode on both ASN16 and ASN Cloud Art to Windows 8 compatibility for them to run! The problem I had with FSX SE was when opening a 2D panel window or something from the drop down menu. I would get a 'child object could...

Re: windows10 update

The new windows 10 update apparently destroys FSX and P3D. Don't I know it! Seems it's an issue that hangs over from a previous Windows monthly update from September that breaks some 32bit applications. (Strange thing was FSX was working fine before I updated to it, so assuming I had that update, I...

Perhaps one day, A2A will finally release the Mk V they have had on hold for several years.

I really hope so.

And with any luck, the MKIX they are doing for the Boultbee Flight Academy as well!

Just seen this over on the WIX forums. It seems he and his passenger, 34 year old Bethany Root, were killed in the accident. (It appears that the P-51 was 'Baby Duck'). WIX thread: - http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=65529&p=593151#p593151 A real tragedy, and a...

Re: Passing of Ian Warren

Sorry to hear of this.

I don't think I ever interacted with Ian on any of the forums, but his name seemed to crop up on various ones I visit.

My condolences to all his friends and family.

Starter Magneto - On/Off Position Reversed

After looking closely at various pictures of early MK.I cockpits, (including the restored P9374, N3200 and X4650) it would seem that starting mag switch in the A2A MK.I is reversed - i.e. up should be 'ON' and down should be 'OFF'. I had noticed and was a bit puzzled in the pictures that I had looke...

Re: favorite cruise settings in the Mustang

At low altitudes, the book figure of 36 in Hg/2300 (or 2400) Rpm suits me fine.

Re: Any possible plans for other Spitfile models such as the

Thomas I think from memory an early version was used on the Lancaster (Merlin 28) and on Canadian built Hurricanes. Some Mossies may have had it too. But the 1650-3 was used on the Spitfire IX as the Merlin 61. Most of the 1650-3 's of course went on Mustangs. The Spitfire XVI had the Packard built...

I second, third, or even fourth the release of your Spitfire V!

Would be a nice complement to your MK I & II. :)

Re: Saitek Trim Wheel Query

After several months waiting, I've just received 3 of the trim wheel units (I'm in the UK), so it would seem that Saitek has got production of these units back on at last! :) No luck with new stock of throttles though, and I have noticed that the stocks of trim wheels don't seem that great at the mo...
