We have developed this physics based rain effect for our own P3D aircraft software. It was first released as a feature of the Accu-sim Bonanza simulation.
This was then followed by our Accu-sim P-40 where the effect really shines thanks to the aerobatic nature of a warbird.
We are now adding it to our whole P3D fleet for our customers for free.
In order to give back to the community and our fellow developers we are happy to give the effect for other payware and freeware developers to use
as they see fit in there own products (Licensing included in the documentation).
https://a2asimulations.com/product/a2a- ... for-p3dv4/
Any questions, comments or feature requests please use the contact us form on the website where we will be happy to answer. As time goes on the plan is for the effect to evolve, to enable multi-engine aircraft etc.
(This is for use by Developers only and cannot be added to aircraft by the end user.)

Wow, very cool Lewis. Just getting ready for my early morning flight but now I get to install something new.
Thank you A2A for the great software you create.
Cheers
Roger
EDIT: Ok, so I missed the very last line of your post . I assume though that there are updates for the existing aircraft or are they now available yet?

Ahhh very nice. When can we expect the p3d fleet to be updated? Asking for a friend.

Outstanding stuff! When can we expect those effects to come to the rest of the A2A fleet (and maybe the Constellation with the windscreen wipers)?

Oh god I *LOVE* you guys! Just went ahead and purchased the Connie and P-40 because the effect is so immersive inside the cockpit! Simply fantastic A2A!
Re: A2A Dynamic Rain Effects Released for Developers for FRE
Thx for doing this!
I hope devs of free or payware models will use it.

Well the effects are out there now, real easy to use and free to use, so we hope so too. Limited to singles for the moment, but that will change in the future.YoYo wrote:Thx for doing this!

Re: A2A Dynamic Rain Effects Released for Developers for FRE
Indeed. Having them on the L-049 would surely make it quite a bit more immersive in rain.
Re: A2A Dynamic Rain Effects Released for Developers for FRE
Thanks for releasing this. Just did a quick test with my Auster model & it worked like a charm. Very easy to add to the model. Just need to tweak the UV's and the .ini to get the best effect.
