Can anyone tell me how to add a gps and a gps flight mode to the b17 ive got about 100hrs in her and im taking her around the world

Hi.
Adding a GPS is easy , provided you know how to edit the panel.cfg file , but make a backup copy prior to any editing , so if you mess up , you can at least put it back to original , by useing the backup copy . i personally just use the provided map on shift+5 , its just as good as a GPS if you know how to use it properly.
I have over 675.1 hrs on the B17 that has been modied with things like NAV ADF V22 , norden bombsight , extra views , weathership gauge , which is needed on long flights over water , and a pucker module that gives damage to B17 if flying through Flak .

One way to do it is to copy the GPS panel information from the default Cessna 172 to the B-17's aircraft.cfg file as the unused Shift+1 position. There is an old thread here in the B-17 forum that explains how to do that.
