I've had my pilot's license for 20 years (longer than the wife) and she has never been up in an airplane with me. She sees my time on the computer as time away from her and the kids. My only chance is to have the current computer develop a problem.

Sat Am and TO is fast approaching. 50 minutes and counting.

At 15:00GMT conditions at KACK are a little on the cloudy side with snow on the ground. We have a cloud deck at 2500' with tops to 10.000'. Cloud cover is aprrox 50%. Winds 095 @ 16.

Could be some low level sighting today with some nice cross wind landings at some smaller airports to test our skills. :)

You guys might want to double check your hanger list. It looks like the new p-51D paint "Excaliber" will be making the flight with us today.

Cya in a bit!

Thanks very much guys for allowing me to tag along. I would love to have been able to make the entire flight but my son and our two granddaughters stopped by. You know about those priorities I am sure. Here are some shots I took. As you can see I was seeing all Spitfires. I guess that is because I have none of the WOP planes in my hangar yet. Here are a few shots I took this morning:

Bob, thanks for joining the flight for as long as you could and your welcome back anytime. :)

Here's one of you in your Spitfire at take off from our home base at KACK this AM. There's two more in the group for our first take off of the day just to our rear.

Just after arrival at our new base camp for the week, Bar Harbor, Maine(KBHB).

After a short break Red took over duties as tour guide on a local sight seeing excursion over nearby Desert Island. This is a shot looking towards
base camp on return from the island tour with Red in the lead.
Image

After returning from the island tour, several of us realized our butts weren't sore enough yet and decided to make another excursion out from camp. This time we headed of towards the northern wilderness to check out Loring AFB near Caribou, Maine.

Riding shotgun on Army485 on the way up to Loring AFB.

Sitting next to the runway at Loring AFB. It was interesting to learn that this airbase was originally built for the B-36s which never came to pass. The runway is wide enough that we could have all taken off side by side and still had room.

Great flight as always guys. KBHB looks like it's going to be a great place for some excursion flights this week.

Thanks again! :)

Great shots. Thanks for posting. I had a ball for the short time I was along. I guess I have to buy ALL of those WOP planes to get to see them in all their individual glory.

Good Morning Everyone:

Well, there isn't much more I can add to what has already been said or shown! :( Again, we had another great day of flying :) ,

I tried to do my best in pointing out certain things along the way and I'm real glad RED was along - not only to fill in the gaps but for the tour he gave us of Bar Harbor (which I've always wanted to go but have yet to make it)!! Thanks RED!!!

Again, thanks to all who participated! :) I think we started out with 9 or 10 aircraft again and along the way lost some / picked up some - so it was another great day of flying and having fun!!

And thanks to BOB3 for coming along even if it was for a short time. :( Since your part of the group that has put a lot of hard work into that FS-Freeflow scenery, it must be a great feeling to see a lot of us using it and enjoying it! Great work!!! :)

And finally, thanks to our "historian" FAC for filling us in with all that history about Loring while in route to Limestone - that was facinating!!!

Well, here's a few pics I took! Hope you all enjoy and have a great week!!

PS: BOB3, Great pics from you - Viper2 will be very happen seeing a "gaggal" of Spits on the ramp!!!!!!!!!

ARMY: Liked those pics!!! :) I downloaded a couple for my screensaver!!

Everyone gathering up at our departure point (for the day) of KACK!

Sitting on the ramp at our first stopover - the former Pease AFB in New Hampshire!

Enroute up the coast of Maine towards KBHB.
Image

Taking a short break at KBHB before RED's tour!

Sitting at Loring!!
Image

And finally - not much to do when your flying way up in Maine so ARMY decided to do some "Airshow" practicing!!!

Gentlemen, I will not be able to join you this morning. I may be able to join you later on Saturday afternoon or see you flying on Sunday. My son's sixth birthday party is this morning. I got my desktop back yesterday. It has been upgraded from an AMD 1800 to a AMD 64 3200+ with a gig of ram and a new graphics card. I should have better fps when touring cities with you than before. See you later.

There aren't too many priorities more important than a 6 year old son. :)

Have fun at the party and we'll see you maybe a little later in your new machine. With that kind of upgrade it should be a very nice improvement for you.

Hi guys. Sounds good. I am going to try to join you for a little while in my Spit. I still need to purchase a WOP plane so I can see what you are really flying. Right now all I see is Spits. That makes me feel at home but is not as much fun as seeing all of your different colors.

Bob

So it is/was saturday again and we went out to check if our warbirds are still running

here are some pictures I took

Ramping up at Bar harbor (Maine)
Image

FAC tried to save some space at the parking area at Bar Harbor :P

And here are WND in Double Trouble two and Army flying Excalibur seen out of my cockpit

Well the conclusion after all is that these old warbirds still fly as good as ever

Meso

Great flying with you guys again. Here are my shots. Hard to keep formation and fiddle with a camera at the same time. Nevertheless, I did get a few shots. All Spits of course:
