Just click on the link and then click on save file that will download it for you then go to where you have downloaded it and click on install

Just like you did when you installed SP1 and SP2.

It will show a blue line while it installs and then will disappear fom the screen

Thats OK we hope it has installed ok.

Do not load the spit yet or all will be lost.

Run fsx.

Right click on the screen and untick hide menu bar.

load a default aircraft ,I suggest the cessna 172.

then close the aircraft down and switch off all power lights radios etc so its cold and dark.

Apply the parking brake.

Go to the menu bar extreme left which I think is flight.

click on it and go to save flight.

type in something like start up flight.

tick the make this my start up default flight.

Shut fsx down.

restart your computer and we will then be able to enable the spit.

Work through this carefully.I suggest you write down my instructions so you have them by you when you have fsx running

Hi speedy... Going off the subject a bit... Are you based in the US? UK? The reason I ask is my work involves shift work and awkward hours and don't want you to think I am being ignorant if I miss a message or don't reply straight away.... I really appreciate your time and effort and realise you must have lots of other problems to deal with... GP

Hi GP I live in the UK.

We are nearly there now hopefully and I am just an A2A member of the forum not the official help but as you are having problems and shall I say not all that knowledgable about FSX and I knew it would be a step by step job I thought I would help.
I am retired so have the time.

Here is a cockpit familiarization for you.

Was there a spitfire directory in the A2A directory.
Did you check the A2A directory.

Follow this link and download the file and then instal it

OK well now for the test.

Do this carefully and write it down so you can do it step by step.Stop and come back to me if something doesn't work.

Open FSX and your default cessna should load in cockpit view all shut down.

Right click on the screen and untick the hide menu bar.

go to aircraft

select aircraft

A2A supermarine

spitfire mk1

if it loads ok

press shift 7 and see if the maintenance hanger loads.

if it is ok close fsx down and come back to me

new reply

Return to “Spitfire MkI/II”
