A2A Simulations forms sister company, Aviation Review, and purchases a corporate aircraft.

With Accu-Sim’s increasing use in professional flight simulations, A2A has decided to use their experience and open the doors to a brand new general aviation company, “Aviation Review.” Aviation Review’s primary purpose is to test fly various aircraft in the industry and deliver in-depth, informative reports to aircraft owners around the globe. Aviation Review will also serve as a professional, hands-on flight test resource for A2A Simulations existing and future products. Aviation Review now owns and operates a high performance Piper Comanche 250.

“After several weeks of pretty intense research, the Piper Comanche 250 was chosen for its high altitude, speed, long range, and load carrying capacity. It’s an honest aircraft with no vices. It's also very nice to be back into aircraft ownership again,” said Scott Gentile of A2A Simulations Inc.

“There has been a growing wave of demand for Accu-Sim in the aviation industry. We think this is happening because Accu-Sim gives real aviators tools they simply have not previously had access too. Accu-Sim simulates well beyond how an aircraft flies, deep into the internal systems including how they interact with each other. This interaction is critical for proper procedures and safety in real-world operations. Accu-Sim offers a plethora of benefits to almost every aspect of operating and managing both modern and vintage aircraft today,” said Lewis Bloomfield of A2A Simulations Inc.

I really like those news! Not every Flight simulation company manages to get so close to the real deal.

What a great excuse to buy an airplane. I can hear Scott selling it to his wife..."It's for business. I won't be having ANY fun while flying it... ;-)

You do know this means you have to come see me again so I can evaluate the airplane myself as well right? :-)

So does this mean the previous hints weren't about a new Accu-sim GA release? :(

I think it's probably a sure bet that Scott's enjoyment of his new plane will prompt a pretty indepth Accu-Sim version of it in the future.

I guess the Comanche was a easier sell than a Starfighter ;) LOL, Plus the Comanche doesn't require a Type Rating ;)

Congrats guys! Welcome to the Aircraft owner world I am sure you will find what a DARK and CROOKED world that is lol! wait for your first cracked cylinder or metal in the oil filter. not fun but it comes with the territory. Comanche is a good buy just watch the gear, it tends to get a healthy beating since its so low to the ground, probably because they're so close to the dirt and, if they are not rightfully cleaned and greased, you may someday find yourself sliding. please don't wheel barrow this baby on takeoff or landing! lol. Some owners put a smaller tire on the front to reduce the angle and reduce the the chances of wheel barrow-ing.

Good luck guys. ENJOY THAT SUCKER!

Rarebear,

I can tell you know a bit about Comanches :) It does have the small nose wheel. Despite what others have said, I find this to be one of the easiest aircraft to land. It's just so responsive and true all the way and even through the stall.

It's also rock stable in flight. The rudders are nice and responsive on takeoff too. Capt Jake has made two successful, unassisted takeoffs and kept it on center line. That says a lot I think.

Here is a pict of the prop straight on. You can see it is off to the side to compensate for p-factor and torque:

Is the Prop positioned off centerline, or is the spinner pointed right? (From Pilots Perspective)

Scott,

This is just incredible! Hats off to you and the guys at A2A!! Just out of curiosity and I know this may be a dumb question but, where is the aircraft based?

Thanks,
Isaiah.

Congrats! Have fun, and hopefully there will be an Accu-simmed Comanche for FSX somewhere down the line. ;)

Wow nice aircraft. Looking at the photos bring back some memories. I ferried once Comanche with my friends from San Diego to Dallas. It was quite a trip :)

I'm curious, does this one have electric flaps, or manual?
