I do not know what is going on here so I hope one of you does... Whenever the ATC comes on all other noise goes totally silent, it then may or may not come back on for several minutes... This is really irritating as most of the sim benefits by "sound"..... I would much rather ATC be off for most of my flying or simply be part of the other noise instead.... Thoughts? I think it may have something to do with accufeel. Does this on default aircraft too.
FSX acceleration, ORBX scenery, A2A, accufeel, shockwave lights, Cerenado and the super cub add on by flight replicas since A2A does not make a super cub bush plane yet...

I'm afraid that I'm not going to be much help to you, except to say that I had this problem about a year ago, but before I installed any Accusim aircraft or Accufeel. It was, indeed, very annoying, but before I could track it down it disappeared! I have no idea if it was an updating of sound drivers or settings change, but it never happened again to this day!
Sorry I can't be more help!
Ted

It just started happening the other day and I can not think of any changes I may have made other than accufeel, but that may be coincidence too. I do not have the time to fly regularly so I am not on top of changes that happen immediately... I guess I will have to go through un-installing stuff and start over. I was just hoping someone had experience with this bug. Sounds like it is pretty common, maybe someone else will chime in...

Sometimes sound cards have features which filter specific sounds when NEW sounds come in. You may need to check your sound card settings. Any additional information you provide about your system may be helpful.

I'm not getting the problem, and I have everything installed that starts with accu.

I went into my sound settings and for some reason when it senses communication it reduces volume to 80%... Something changed how the sound card deciphers ATC. It now just blends in with the rest of the noise as it should with this little box un checked.... I'm having a blast doing short STOL take offs and landings with the Flight Replicas Supercub experimental (180hp)...It will water skim and go tail up with the brakes on too. The A2A cub barely has enough power to get off the ground but still fun to fly... Looking forward to an A2A super cub or DHC 2 Beaver bush plane... I love flying everything for different reasons, but the challenges of bush flying really raises the bar.... I know A2A would do things like make Tundra tires very soft to eliminate bounce on landing and make the landings and take offs along rivers rough and rattly as they really are...

The A2A J-3 has plenty of power for its weight, sure it might seem a little weezy in comparison to some of the PA-18s - especially the modified types - also requires different techniques due to no flaps.

But I've been able to take-off and land in short distances with the A2A Cub, just WSW of KHQM there's a short pier, the Cub can land well inside its length - I'll have to find out the distances - and it'll take off from there too. Also the tail flys readily with the Cub using power and stick input alone - no brakes - I've taxied around like this, larking about.

Indeed, the A2A's Cub is great fun, especially water-assists, forward slips, and pivoting about on the spot with the tail up.
