I've seen screenshots with an info line at the bottom of the screen that contains information such as 'Alt', 'Hdg', 'Speed', ''Power', etc.

Can someone tell me how to enable that info line?

*I thought it would be the INFO LINE setting on the Views screen, but I've tried all 3 options and there is nothing on my screen.

It should work. There are several controls for it. The I key should step
through the display modes if you haven't remapped it. There are also
bdg.txt variables to control the colour (this is also in the advanced
options menu), plus colour of the background bar, or turn the bar off.
Search the manual for "infopanel " and "info ". The popular choice is
background bar off, text a bright colour far from natural scenery, like
orange or day-glo green.

There are also bdg.txt variables for displaying (or not) specific info
items, like power level and bullet count. There is also a setting for full
real view, used by video makers, which kills all screen overlays. These
will all come up on a manual search.

I found the 'SHOW_INFOLINE_BACKGROUND' setting and changed it from OFF to ON. This displayed a greenish bar at the bottom of my screen...but no text. I also changed the 'HIDE_AMMO_COUNTER' from ON to OFF. However....still no text. I couldn't find anything else.

*In the manual, it states about the Info Line: "If the info line is turned on then the last spoken radio message will also be displayed for a few seconds."

Well, I do see these messages from the Tower, so the Info Line is on. However, there is no info displayed....other than the messages.

Well, I changed the color of the text from the default to Yellow and now the text is visible. Thanks for the help.

Ah, great. I don't know why it wasn't defaulted to a visible colour though.
Oh, well, at least you're sorted.

Is there away to increase the Text Size in the Info Line?

I am playing at a fairly high resolution and the text is quite small!

Thanks

- John

The text on the info line is hard coded at 96 DPI and I do not know of a way to change it without having problems with CTD.

I am not familiar with Windows programming but usually DPI resolution and font size are unrelated and independently adjustable. I would think that there is a line of code with a constant defined somewhere. Maybe someday!

Thanks!

I am not talking about resolution. I am talking about BOBII menu interface and the text size that is hard coded in the old interface that is used in BOBII to display screen text.

BTW, here is a Pic of my Info line and my old eyes can still see it OK:
