That is a fantastic photo set, thanks for sharing! It really gives a view into the life of a new aviator's travels in the war!

Awesome!

Joe

Thanks Phantom! As a very proud Okie, born-n'-bred, (when I die, I'll be Sooner dead)... I can't thank you enough for these pics! Interestingly, Spartan still exists in the Tulsa area! Also, another fun fact about OK... any town in the state that ends in the letter "i" is pronounced as an "uh"... So it's not Miami... Like Miami, FL... It's "Miam-uh" Oklahoma!

Cheers!

Bud

Hahaha bigjuicy! I expected a little ribbing from someone. Actually the distinction is from our Indian heritage... although Indian is not the preferred nomenclature. "Native American, Native, or (the latest) First American" please...

Cheers!

Bud

As a new college grad, I remember getting rebuked for saying, "The problem with your organization is that there are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians." Almost like the kind of scene you would see on a Seinfeld episode...

When they first saw the destination board they thought they were going to Florida. Disappointment when they found out where they were really going . BUT the warmth and hospitality of the people of Miam-uh more than made up for the initial disappointment. :)

Happy birthday Lewis, i love the big American trains too :)

thanks Phantom. I too thought of Florida when I saw that caption and was slightly confused as I looked at more hehe. I dont really love US loco's just passing interest. Train wise I like modern(ish) image UK - 90's era.
