So, verify I have to install the update without without first removing the P-51, or do I have to instal the update over a fresh install of the P-51?

Thanks

Hello ,
Congratulations to the A2A team.
I bought the Piper Cub in its output, there are some time, I bought the Spitfire, and now i have the P-51.
Your aircraft are simply fantastic, urgent truth, they exceed the imagination.
And now, after the update v1.3, the v1.3.1, you exit the v1.4.
You touch the perfection for these planes, is not that tilt face such work and such followed.
Thanks A2A, thanks to the team, also thanks to all repainters for their quality work.
Now remains to study the books for me, and enjoy crazy to travel the world, FS.
serge.

Sometimes being French and old is wonderful.

An example:

To echo our French friend above, thanks Scott and A2A team for your continuing passion to these airplanes.

1.4 Update P-40 test flight results
KORS-0S9
Conditions Cool & partly cloudy.

Warm up, taxi, takeoff fine.

After takeoff, Vx climb to 16000...coolant temp peaked around 107C.
Cruised FL185...seemed to be about highest level for max cruise power settings 27" 2300RPM AL...1.3.1 was about FL160 or so.

Dive 400+mph to Sea Level with a pull to right as it should. Took a few mins to clear the windscreen of condesnation with canopy/vent open. Sea Level speed @ max cruise settings ~ 220MPH IAS.

Landing fine, brakes a little improved.

Park/Shutdown with pinging sounds....

And finally my hungry pilot can go get a bite to eat while the plane cools down :) (actually first words after a cross country that involve a few cups of coffee before takeoff are usually..'Hey, where is the john?' )

Thanks again A2A team! :D

You should just be able to run the CORE update straight over the existing one, without having to do fresh installs of your other A/C.

Thanks, Mattgn, did that and it worked. Other than the aftercoolant loading only up to 99%, everything is fine.

Love the P-51D, it's the best!!!

Bruce, the core update does not touch your aircraft.cfg file. The only paints that were replaced were stock ones.

Scott.

Regarding the P-51 - better rear landing gear tire rotation, does that mean it rolls better along the ground, or it swivels better when free castoring while stick is forward?
