Would it be possible to make canopy fogging visible in external views? Obviously this is a minor detail, but it'd be neat if you could...

Possible, but we didn't do this to save resources.

Hello again.

I have encountered something strange in P-51, with the fuselage tanks empty and with some negative g's the tank gauge was still moving like the fuel would slosh inside it, is it normal, that the tank doesn't need to contain fuel for the gauge to give readings when maneuvering ?

Can someone tell me where the gauge is for the fuselage tank? I've looked throughout the cockpit and the manual, but the only fuel gauges I've found are for the left and right tanks on the floor. Its probably blatantly obvious, but for some reason I'm just not seeing it!

Thanks,

Joe

It is behind you on the left side of your headrest. Just your head to 7 o'clock
But there is no gauge if fuse tank is removed ...

Awesome! I had panned around the cockpit but I didn't have the tank installed so I missed it. I just quickly loaded up, installed the tank and there it was. :)

Many thanks,

Joe

Ah, fair enough. One thought for the future, though... What if you added in various levels of details and effects like this and then made a configurator (like the control configurator) to enable/disable them? Then if your system had trouble running the full monty they could tone it down as necessary.

I installed the 1.3.1 core update yesterday and am experiencing some problems. Well, not problems really, but bugs.

Since I installed the update neither the Defroster nor the cabin heater are working anymore. I can set them to whatever I want the shift+2 panel always says cold and steady. Probably connected to that is that the canopy isn't fogging up anymore. I tried flying in cold air for a while and then diving down to warmer more humid air with the heater and defroster off but nothing happened.

Another thing I noticed is, that it seems that my aircraft states aren't properly saved when I quit FS. Flight hours, Oil and fuel levels an all that seem to work, but when ever I load a new flight with the aircraft being properly shut down and secured after the previous flight, the aircraft is being loaded with the battery on and the engine running.
That's not how it's supposed to be, or is it?

Any ideas how to solve that?

That will be fixed in the comming patch - I guess it will arrive soon.

Yes, the cold and steady state of the cabin and the lack of fog is one of my personally awaited bug fixes. Kind of a big one too. It happens when the prop stops spinning or the engine is shut off. The fix is supposed to be in the next update, though I'm not sure how long that will take.

There are a couple of things you can try that might fix this:

1. Creat a Cold and Dark state for your default aircraft. If your FSX always wants to start you in a Cessna 172 at Seattle, open that flight and turn off the engine. Once everything is shut down, Save this flight using the menu at the top of the screen (hold the Alt key to activate to make the menu bar visible). You can also save by hitting the semi-colon key. Make sure you check the box that is marked "Make this default flight." Now all or your Fly Now flights should start in Cold and Dark condition.

2. Save your P-51 flight as a different file from the default flight once you have shut the engine down. Every time you load this flight, the engine should be off. However, it will always be the same time, date, location and weather as the last time you saved. Not all Accusim Cold and Dark conditions will save though, so you'll probably have to hit C&D after reloading anyhow.

I use both options all the time. The first gives me a universal state where all Fly Now scenarios start with the engine(s) off. The second allows me to fly and land, save, and return later to find my chosen aircraft exactly where I left it.

Could have thought of that myself  I saved the standard flight with the P51 now. Still doesn't quite work, the gear doors and flaps are up when the flight is loaded but at least the engine isn't running anymore.

Cheers

Hello,

I have a question concerning all the Accu-Sim Update for the P-40, Sptifire MkI & MkII, P-51.

Le last time that I have installed my P-40 "WOP3" and my Spitfire MkI/MkII "WOP3", I've installed these 2 patch: Accusim_fsx_core_update_v1.1 and Accusim_Core_Update_v1.2.

When I've installed my P-51 + Accusim "WOP3" I've installed this patch: Accusim_fsx_core_update_v1.3 and there's few minutes I've discovered the last patch: Accusim_fsx_core_update_v1.3.1.

So please can you explain me if I can send to my trash these 2 old Accusim: accusim_fsx_core_update_v1.1 and Accusim_Core_Update_v1.2 ??

A great thank's in advance for all and once again congratulation for your incredible work, best regards. Olivier

Yes, you can throw away all old patches. Every future update will include all past ones, so it will always just be a single install.

Scott.
