Iam looking forward to Eric's recordings. It was way to late for me here in the Netherlands. I had to hit sack some between the REX and A2A sessions. These sessions are really a great way to interact with the flightsim community!

Going to have to listen to the recording if there is one. I was in there, and then a tornado touched down behind my house here in Hampton, VA right after it got kicked off. So had to run for cover and then we lost all power. Luckily all that happened to our house was some of the siding got sucked off, and a tree got uprooted in the backyard. Would definately be interested if someone has a recap though, or a recording as I was interested to hear what they had to say.

Whoa, that's scary! Glad nothing more happened. Incidently I did some virtual flying in that area yesterday, because I wanted to check out REX Essential and the weather over Virgina looked especially menacing on the weather maps. I guess REX was right.

Yeah. I was debating buying REX Essentials, and after listening to the developer talk about before Scott came in I am about to download it now.. So at least I got something out of the teamspeak chat yesterday even if it wasn't from A2A. REX was right though. We had winds in excess of 50kts, water spouts galore, and a couple tornados touch down. One here on Ivy Rd, another in downtown Hampton, and they said a third one in a different neighborhood. Our power was restored this morning, but there is still some 5000 in the area without power right now.

On a side note REX did a good job huh? Guess that is a good thing.. Have been pretty jittery about uninstalling my very old FEX as I am worried about messing everything up. Shall see though. Guess if worse comes to worse just will do a new install of FSX.

Yeah, no complaints about REX Essential so far. The way it handels visibily looks very real and the towering thunderstorms yesterday looked and sounded great, too. Lots of turbulence as well. The installation and handling couldn't be easier. I like REX already but REX Essential is a big step up.

Jigsaw check your PM's please.

As for REX essentials I am not sure I am that thrilled so far. It takes a long time to load weather before you can do anything, I do not get all the sounds, even thunder is missing when there is lightning all around. I found some nasty thunderstorms on the weather channel and set my plane under them in FSX and there are just a few dark clouds and not much more. I will have to work at it more and see if I can figure out what I am doing wrong.

For Cody "and anyone else interested", In response to last night's conversation, Here is a link to those encounter report's I was refering to. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/ ... ports.html These show just some of the stories "in their own word's" from the pilot's that flew them in combat. It just goes to prove how reliable these aircraft were and how hard the pilots actually flew them. What A2A and Accu-sim Did for this plane is nothing less than an honor to it. So a big thank's to Scott and the entire A2A team for their dedication and attention to detail that make's these so far from anything else out there.

How refreshing, that developers of a high calibre would spend quality time with their customers, setting a great example to all.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, including the crowded bimble about the skies afterwards - May there be many more.

Thank you gentlemen for your time, and for answering my question.

John.

If you log onto digital themepark teamspeak and contact Zoolander he might be able to play you the MP3 via a channel on there Paul (Yes TS has come on ALONG way since we use to use it for il-2 missions!)

thanks,
Lewis

Ah okay, thanks matey. I don't think I'll bother installing TS at the moment...just thought there might be something I could quickly grab. I was wondering if there was mention of future A2A projects. An F-104 and F-4 are somewhere down that long pipeline, but anything else ? ( By the way, the F-4 might be on my shopping list now - I'm going through a 'Vietnam' phase what with reading books and watching documentaries about it. I highly recommend Thud Ridge by Col Jack Broughton )

I'm enjoying my new plane by the way.

Greetings All,

FSBreak has available the A2A discussion with Scott and Cody + the interview with REX Essential Tim and Reed. You can find both right here.
http://www.fsbreak.net/podcast/113 (scroll to bottom for A2A)

I want to thank Scott and Cody for making this event possible. Great fun and jumping in the P-51 afterwards with Cody was wonderful. I also want to thank Eric for recording and hosting the recordings.

Ah good, that's what I wanted - thanks very much Zoolander. Thanks also to FS Break; having just upgraded to REX Essentials, that interview with Tim Fuchs and Reed Stough will be worth a watch when I get a spare moment.

Thanks again to all involved.
