I made a second test flight. Still from Bowerman, but this time I downloaded the FSX real weather for today. There were a lot of clouds.
The fog appeared successfully during the climb, somewhere around 10.000 feet. The fog dissappeared when I activated the ventilation, as expected. I made a dive immediately and didn't get any fog, but I wasn't flying high and I didn't "stay" there, so this is normal.
Perhaps the module didn't work properly on the very first flight only ? Strange, but at least it seems to work now.
Or the climate wasn't moist enough on the first flight. The update mentions the amount of moisture breathing creates has been reduced. Breathing might become an issue only if ambient air is already moist, when combining both moistures goes above critical threshold and fogging occurs. Also, even when ventilation is shut, the cockpit will leak some air, otherwise you would suffocate if you sat in a closed cockpit, with ventilation shut (and if you didn't put oxygen mask on). When the plane moves, it will leak more than when staying stationary. Ventilation just increases the amount of airflow.

The strange behavior of the carb heat was still there however. When switching from OFF to ON, the temperature jumps (almost 10 additionnal degrees) for just a second then falls down LOWER than the previous temps. When switching from ON to OFF, there is a temperature jump again, and the temperature returns to the level where it was before the test. This was during the climb, high RPM (not far from red line), high MP (not far from red line), 170-180 knots.
Scott answered it'll be fixed in the next update.

Yes, I see what is happening in our P-40. The new system with the P-51 has affected the P-40's carb heat. In the P-51, you have to have ram off for the carb heat to work, and somehow this was reversed. We'll fix this in the P-40 for the next update. However, keep it in RAM for now.
Regarding the cooling of the CAT temp, this is accusim simulating the cooling in the venturi, which we fed to the CAT gauge a while ago so we could see it easily during testing, but actually, should not be showing on the gauge. We'll sort this in the next update, that won't be long.
There's also a problem with misplaced CAT gauge sensor: it measures temperature somewhere downstream from venturi, thus displays lower than ambient temperatures on ground. (It can show higher than ambient temperatures in flight. Dunno if it's ram air effect heating up the air, or if it's just related to the carb heat bug. Anyway two different bugs, confirmed and pinpointed. Shouldn't take long for the dev team to fix them.
The performance differences many have been reporting is a trickier one since it has to be decided if it's just a more accurate modeling or a bug. All we know for now is that 1.31 accusim gives noticeably more punch with partial throttle... but it could also be something that is desired. Seems like it's going to be an update with numerous easy bug fixes, and possibly one bigger fix (unless it's ruled as more accurate than original, and not actually a bug - it's a good thing A2A has experienced pilots test flying these birds).
