Hello!

I am having an issue with the Carenado King Air C90 and Accu-feel. On takeoff and approach there is a massive fluctuation in the right engines torque power that causes the plane to pull drastically to one side or the other! This DOES NOT happen when happen with Accu-feel disabled! Is there a slider to adjust to compensate for this or is it a compatibility issue with the C90?

Thanks for the help!

Jonathan

Jonathan,
I do not have this aircraft but I saw that there is a newly released Service Pack for it. The description mentions fixes for the right engine but I have no idea if it will fix your specific issue but it may be worth installing the SP. Here is the link: http://forum.avsim.net/page/index.html/_/pri-news/carenado-release-c90-service-pack-1-r131

Good luck!

Unfortunately the service pack did nothing to fix this issue. This sharp increase in right prop torque happened before and after the service pack with Accu-Feel enabled. But like I said, when it's off, I do (and did) not have this problem at all.

Well, at least your C90 is up to date. :D Perhaps there is someone on the forum that has the C90 with Accu-Feel and will better be able to assist you. There are some very knowledgeable folks here willing to help.
Good Luck!

Are you sure you don't have some conflict with your hardware, if you have a dual prop/throttle lever arangement? It just might be placebo that it doesn't happen without accu feel?

Maybe there is a technical issue with your RH engine, carenado knows how deep modeling systems as it should be. A deep look into the carenado maintenance hangar would be a good choice. I guess there is a torque signal transducer at breake or a broken wire.

Or i am wrong ??

Jonathan,

why don't you follow Kurt Kalbfleisch' advice on this? You really have to get the prop rpms stable while holding the footbrakes fully. Get on the governors at 2200rpm. Once the props stabilize, you can release the brakes and smoothly advance the power levers to max torque. Do it slowly and you will have no problems with any engine racing...

The important thing is to get the prop rpms stable before you release the brakes... I also have accufeel active for the C90 and have not had the issue you describe, as I follow Kurt's advice... he was a fundamental source of knowledge on the Aeroworx King Air team... I believe he has real world time on the C90's bigger sister, the B200...

Andrew
