The A2A Simulations Community

Every time I press the Escape key (Turn Off Padlock), I get the following message from the game: 'Press the Alt + X key to quit.'

I guess the game assumes I don't know what I'm doing and thinks I want to quit the simulation and is trying to be 'helpful'.

The command works fine but the message is annoying. Is there any way to get rid of it, short of assigning the command to another key?

Strange, when I press the ESC key I do not get any message ( my ESC is default). It just unlocks the padlock as it should.

You might have some keys double assigned or some other key assignments messed up.

I use the "enter" Key which is a padlock toggle (default).

All my key assigments are default. In fact, I just went back in, clicked on 'Default' and 'Save', just to be sure. The message still comes up when I press Escape.

Since YOU don't get this message, am I silly for thinking that there may indeed be a way to turn it off?

Hi Aviar,

In the main game menus, take a look at Options>>Adv.>>Game
Then make sure the boxes are unticked for: cont/quit quick mission & cont/quit campaign

If this doesn't have any effect, you may need to give a little detail about the type of flying you're doing - is it quick missions or Commander or Pilot campaigns (which missions, what campaign dates and who you flying for?)

Thanks. I resolved the issue by substituting 'Padlock Toggle' for 'Turn Off Padlock'.
