Just how FAST are you descending? If you come down too fast it won't make any difference what
your turbos are set for, you'll still run into carb temp issues.
On missions with the 91st BG, we generally start our descents at 500 FPM, holding our MP at
cruise settings until the speed builds to 200 MPH. Then we start deceasing throttle settings while
keeping the turbo dial at 8. As we near our base we may increase rate of descent to 800 or 1000FPM
to be at the correct altitude for our approach and then slow to 150 MPH.
