My old instructor would say... at some point there, he was just along for the ride. Frank also said you never save a landing, you go around and save the plane for the next one.

And yes... I was at least muttering, go around a few times.

I'd sure like to get a shot at landing there in real life one day. For every successful landing we see on video, I wonder how many go arounds we don't see!

the only thing I can figure from this guy not going around is that he may have had a fuel emergency but even so there are plenty of airports around there to have planned appropriately. pilot error, pilot error, pilot error. I am a bushpilot and there are SO many mistakes this guy made.

not even a good side slip. just wrong all the way around.
